The Space:

Soak in the serene coastal beauty that surrounds you at Gulf Shores Plantation Dunes. This retreat has been recently updated with all new décor and furnishings. Whether your condo is directly on the Gulf or comes with a less direct view of the Gulf, you'll find yourself in the middle of one of the most beautiful areas of the Gulf Coast - Fort Morgan. Fort Morgan is well known for its peaceful, laid-back atmosphere where vacationers can explore nature at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Sanctuary or the historic Civil War-era Fort Morgan.



The wildlife refuge, which encompasses some of the state's last remaining undisturbed coastal barrier habitat, is home to a variety of wildlife, with more than 360 different species of birds documented on the site. Spring and fall welcome beautiful migratory bird populations as they travel between their breeding and wintering grounds. The refuge is also home to endangered species, including the loggerhead, Kemp's Ridley and green sea turtles as well as the Alabama Beach Mouse.



Historic Fort Morgan is situated on Mobile Point at the end of the scenic Fort Morgan Peninsula. Here, you'll find nature areas, a boat launch, a picnic area and beaches along with an on-site museum and opportunities to learn about the significant role the fort played in the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864.



Back at Plantation Dunes, you'll enjoy a variety of resort amenities, such as basketball, shuffleboard and tennis courts; a putting green; a horseshoes pit; a sauna; an indoor pool; a barbecue area; and a volleyball net. The apartment was clean and had a beautiful view. There were a couple things that needed fixing and when we called regarding it they came promptly to repair it. Vacasa was easy to work with and we appreciated their customer service. We will definitely use their service and properties again.

As pictured except couch has brown stain and very worn. Also, chair is very worn. Otherwise, good location if you are looking for a very quiet vacation. Only handful of places to eat and a Dollar General in the area. Gulf Shores is 25 minutes away.

The unit is nicely equipped. Nice beach decor. The location of this unit requires a lot of walking. The balcony is small, but adequate for 2. The unit had been smoked in, we notified management, but nothing was done. Very strong smell of smoke.

Peaceful private room

Loved everything about this location. The balcony was just enough for two people and very private. I would definitely recommend it for couples or individuals who need quiet time and privacy. Great local restaurants and all the amenities were wonderful. The only thing I would like to suggest for consideration is that the gym facility opens earlier for those of us who get up early (even on vacation LOL).

Beautiful property. Loved sipping my coffee on the balcony watching the waves. The only complaint I have is that there is nowhere to unpack your things. So we had to live out of the suitcases, like in a hotel room.

I thoroughly enjoyed the condo space; it was just perfect. I have absolutely no complaints about the space itself, the furnishings, or anything else. However, when I arrived there were no towels at all in the bathroom. I contacted three different people about this and waited about seven hours before giving up and going to bed. I was reassured several times that the towels would be brought as soon as possible, all to no avail. I found that unacceptable.

Cute Studio with a Great View

The unit was very cute and clean. There was construction being done in the building, so there was some noise early every morning around 8 a.m. That detracted some from the peacefulness, but, we still enjoyed our stay.

Studio unit on south end of building with great view

I asked a question from the owner as to whether I could check in early. Don’t hear back. It worked out anyway. But I did not receive a code to get into the condo. I think it should have come in an email. Had to get help from Vacassa.

Short stay

Clean room that was perfect for a short stay. The sofa sleeper is due for an upgrade. Personally, I’d replace the buffet with a dresser so guests would have somewhere to put clothes. The unit is on the end which means beach front, so that was a plus. Small balcony, but fine for 2 people.

Great view and Relaxing

I always look for the great view and Relaxing reviews...this was small, but just right for my husband and I. There was a screen at the balcony and I left door open for the view and hearing the ocean rushing in....we stocked up on snacks and made breakfast. The pull out...not comfy, I brought a small memory foam to top it off and it was good! There are some good eating places ...one on property...close ...but even more a bit of a drive away...some great history sights and the ferry ride was nice! Will keep this on my go back list.

The condo was well equipped with everything we needed. There was a problem with slow drains and water in the bottom of the dishwasher. They had someone come out and service the dishwasher and drains quickly, I might add. This in no way detracted from our vacation. Overall, a great experience. Comfortable and felt like home.

Great location condo needs improvements

The proximity to the beach is perfect. The condo is very nicely decorated but it needs work. The small appliances need to be replaced. The ceiling in the shower is coming down. The toilet sings every time it is flushed which I am sure is annoying to the neighbors. It was to us. Neither remote for the tv worked.
