The Colonnades is enviably located near the heart of Gulf Shores, right on the white sand beach and less than a mile east of Highway 59. You'll be a quarter-mile east of Sea-N-Suds, less than a mile east of The Hangout, and only a few miles further from the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Waterville USA, and Pirate's Island Adventure Golf on Highway 59. Very comfortable property and excellent views of the Gulf. Located right on the waterfront and near to restaurants and stores. Four bedrooms and four baths made it very worthwhile. Definitely worth a repeat stay.

Condo was beautiful and accommodated everyone comfortably. Lots of extras like children’s items that I wish we had known about so we would not have brought them from home. Feel like for a condo that sleeps 8 I feel like the free parking should be upgraded. Overall a good experience.

Perfect beachfront location

The condo is beautiful with plenty of space for everyone. The balcony had comfortable seating and a great view of the pier. The location was very nice since you are near everything in Gulf Shores and are a short drive away to Orange Beach.

Great Family Vacation

Had people coming from TX, MI and SC. All had a great time, beach was gorgeous and condo was roomy and comfortable and well stocked for cooking and plenty of kitchen needs. Staff was great! Thank you for our much needed family time!

Great place and location

We really enjoyed staying here. The beach was great, condo great, and the town is small but has everything you need. Condo is next to wildlife preserve so it has less people on that end of the beach. Preserve has lots of biking trails. We will definitely be back.

Family vacation

Great place to vacation. Loved the location, pool was clean, parking was easy and safe, and security was the best!! Condo was the perfect size for our group. Our only complaint was the dryer didn’t dry the clothes. We notified Vacasa on Tuesday morning but it wasn’t repaired until Thursday. We will return for another vacation. Thank you!!

Spoke to Vacasa regarding broken balcony door handle and ice machine not working. The listing did include that the ice machine would not be working during our stay although we didn’t realize. The door handle was never addressed. The whirlpool tub had sand in it and there was hair in the bathroom floor. No trash bag in bedroom trash can. These are not major but felt we should mention. Vacasa did message back but no other correspondence afterward. We did have a great vacation.

Da Boyz Golf Trip 2021

Property is as advertised. Clean, spacious, comfortable. Decor is a little outdated; but, totally functional. The bedding in the Master Suite didn't properly fit the King Bed. A Keurig type coffee maker option would be nice. At least 2 ply toilet tissue would be welcomed. The numbers on the front door keypad are difficult to read even in bright daylight and very tough at night. We would definitely stay there again in spite of my previous comments meant as suggestions not criticisms.

The condo was great and the view spectacular. However we were shocked that there was no coffee filters, paper towels, trash bags, dish rags, Kleenex or extra toilet paper ( only the partial rolls on the holder. There was many light bulbs that were burned out and batteries in the remotes were dead. For a high end condo those things should have been supplied.

Was a good stay but could have been better. The view is absolutely gorgeous and very roomy condo, beds were comfortable too. There is serval repairs that need to be done to the condo that made our stay inconvenient in ways. The jet tub didn’t work. The plate in the microwave didn’t spin so that wasn’t usable. The digital screen on the oven was very faint so we barely could see to use it. We had to hope for the best. The patio chairs all have splinters that scratch your legs while trying to sit. So we didn’t get to spend as much time out there as we would have wanted. There was a good bit of kid stuff which was a plus. I tried to contact through the app and ask the host. What items were there and kept getting automated customer service. But for anybody else, wondering there is a booster seat for the table. A playpen. Plastic dishes that are kid friendly in the kitchen. Also a nice surprise was games and toys in the TV cabinet. There was also a leak underneath the kitchen sink when we arrived and we notified the host.

Communication

No communication!! We let you know that our washing machine did not work, water in tub did not work & toaster was broken. All we were told was We are working on getting a solution Is quickly as possible? Is there anything else we can help you with? This is the only communication we had with every issue. The rest of the stay was good. But lack of communication was very frustrating and ruined a lot for me. Sense 4 of us had to go out and buy clothes so that we could finish out our trip. We traveled flight expecting to be able to wash our clothes and we wear them.

Nothing special

I guess I should have realized my mistake when this unit was still available. It was not the rental experience that was the problem, but everything at the property itself. I thought wrong when I assumed parking would be simple, (4 bedroom condo, only 2 parking passes? And no help from anyone to remedy situation. Vacasa eventually offered “overflow” parking at there office, 15 min drive without traffic). I kinda felt like an Uber driver the first day, without tips. The ironic thing is that the parking lot about half full the whole week, but enough about that. The elevator situation, 2 elevators with 1 working, typical beach condo engineer screw up but not put into the information page. Inside the unit itself, nice location on the 16th floor but need much improvement on the cleaning, this is not a hotel with sheets changes only, a clean mop now and then will do wonders. For what these owners are charging they should be ashamed for the quality of their unit. If VRBO is looking for a review of their “rental experience” they really should look at the total experience not just where the credit card information is submitted.

Great Condo and Clean .... pool closed

We made the best of our stay and enjoyed the condo. Condo really met our expectation with amazing views from balcony. Very disappointed with the line of communication from building managers and property managers. Signs in elevators that pool was closed with prior notice to all property managers. We only were notified the day of check in that pool was closed by property management. According to the facility office they had given notice to all property managers well in advance. I would of not booked the condo with pool if I had been properly notified. Vacations are for kids to enjoy too and the pool is one of there favorite spots, they did not get to enjoy it any that week. No one from Vacasa would take any responsibility and denied being told in advance. They did discount my stay by 10%. I would have preferred being alerted in advance that way I could book somewhere else. I specifically wanted 4 rooms and a pool, this was not what I received. Either the property management is doing a very bad job communicating notices to guests or they are being purposely deceptive to not lose a booking. A lot of painting was going on and construction is going on next door. This was only a minor inconvenience. The crews did a good job limiting the inconvenience.
