I spent a month at Charming Cabin and enjoyed every moment of it. The cabin is adorable, spotlessly clean, comfortable and cozy. So many spots in this little house to relax, from the comfy living room with a fireplace and a wonderful screen porch with a great view to the lower and upper decks where you will want to kick back and bask in the sun. The loft area bedroom and sitting area is lovely and bathed in light. Denise has thought of everything to make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. Can’t wait until I can return.

Beautiful scenery, very nice cabin, Screamer drive is a very narrow and curvy road.

Cozy and warm

One of the cleanest and most equipped places we have rented. Hostess was very helpful and pleasant. Located kinda in the middle of a lot of places to visit. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Get Away

This is such a wonderful property. So comfortable with a fantastic screen porch! Close to town, yet secluded and very quiet. House is well appointed! Definitely recommend!!!

The cabin was much more than expected . It was a peace of heaven in the mountains . It was spotless when I arrived and the check in was a breeze . It was well stocked with what you need to get started .The area was intriguing and I spent many an hour exploring . When I wasn't out and about the peacefulness and quiet of the cabin especially on the decks looking over the mountain lent itself to some quiet reading . The inside of the cabin with it's log finish was relaxing especially with Denise's flair for decorating and quality furnishings . As far as a host goes you could no better than Denise . She was easy to contact, friendly and very informative . Great lady . I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK .

Charming Cabin Lives up to it’s Name

Two friends and I stayed at Charming Cabin for two nights and we were wanting more! The cabin was spotless and was decorated in cute mountain style. But our favorite was the large screened porch with an unobstructed mountain view. The cabin is tucked away in the woods and feels private. I can’t wait to go back!

Perfect couples getaway.

This was our 2nd stay at the Charming Cabin. This gem, up on the side of Screamer Mtn. has all the comforts of home! The host provides many small details that other rentals lack. Nearby shopping and dining, the beautiful springtime, mountain scenic drives, and the peaceful and quiet screened porch to come home to! My husband and I had a wonderful Anniversary week!

Excellence in every way!

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay by a few days. We did not want to leave. Denise has thought of everything, and the cabin is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The views are outstanding. We have already planned to come back for every anniversary. This is a special place. Highly, highly recommend.

Charming Cabin near Chattooga River access

This property is exactly as advertised and a wonderful place to stay near the Chattooga River and downtown Clayton, Georgia. The porch is lovely with a view of the mountains. An added treat was the DVD collection. The beds were sooo comfortable, and the decor was extremely thoughtful. Our host was accessible and accommodating and provided detailed instructions that helped us to navigate to the property and to make sure that all expectations were met (our expectations and those of the host). We highly recommend this cabin!

In this era of smart TVs and apps, I have been considering packing up the DVD’s thinking guests would watch Netflix and Amazon Prime that has been made available and/or have subscriptions to other things they would prefer to watch. Great cabin with super personal touches. Lovely view and close to a lot of varied activities. Only recommendation is to replace mattresses on beds. Every movement creates noise

Girls trip to the mountains.

This cabin has a great view! Very clean! It has comfortable beds, nicely decorated and the kitchen is stocked with any cookware you might need. You are VERY close to town so no problem if you want to run in to the grocery store or go to a restaurant. There are many restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed Fortified! Get reservations! Cute shops & do not miss Reeves Hardware Store.

Hated to Leave

Had a terrific time during our stay! The cabin was beautiful and surpassed our every expectation. Denise was very helpful and informative, even sending directions so we would avoid the congestion of Atlanta traffic. I was also amazed at how well stocked the cabin was. Lots of little touches that made our time there memorable. But my best memory was seeing my kids so content, sitting in their rocking chairs on the back porch, enjoying the magnificent view. We so hated to leave.

Fantastic month-long stay in the north Georgia mountains! Clayton is a great small town with everything we needed to enjoy the holidays. The cabin is wonderful - well appointed, beautiful decor, comfortable beds, clean and updated bathrooms/kitchen, and a great cozy fireplace. Best of all: the screened-in porch allows for breathtaking views from atop the mountain! Enjoyed the nightly sunsets and watching the town below.We were able to use our location as a perfect launching point for day trips to Foxfire Museum, Dollywood and Pigeon Forge TN, Biltmore and Asheville NC, Atlanta for the aquarium and museums...not to mention the great hiking in Tallulah Gorge SP, Warwoman Dell, and access point to the Appalachian Trail! Cannot say enough great things about this property and location.The owner/host is fantastic - she provided guidance, suggestions, and was an excellent communicator! Will DEFINITELY be coming back when good fortune allows!

Quiet and peaceful

The cabin was clean and tidy when we arrived, and it wasn't too difficult to get to. Be aware the roads are very narrow when driving up the mountain. We wanted to get away from the city for a while and that's exactly what we did. The only thing was I wish there were curtains for the main doors leading outside onto the balcony - the option to close it off for a bit of privacy would've been nice. Other than that we have no complaints.

Thank you for your review. I’m not sure if you are referring to the door from the loft to the balcony—-there is and has always been a Roman shade on that door. Just to be sure other guests are aware, the main doors that look out from the living area look across a valley and at a distance across face another mountain. There is a shade and curtains on the screened porch that can be closed and provide privacy to living area however. There are shades in the bedroom where a door leads to the deck.

Lovely, cozy cabin with a GREAT view from the screened deck...everything needed for a great visit!

This is the 3rd year that a friend and I have scheduled a "girls getaway" at this lovely mountain home - Denise has a great place and has everything in place for her guests. We enjoyed reading and artistic (friend is an artist) time as well as morning walks on "Screamer" Drive. Other activities in the area that we had time for included hiking, visiting waterfalls and antique shops, horseback riding (many more that we - unfortunately - didn't have the time to include!) We were just a bit earlier this year, so missed the canoe opportunities on Burton Lake that we enjoyed on previous visits - maybe next year!! Thanks, Denise, for once again sharing your beautiful home!!!!

I wish you would have reached out to me. I ask guests to contact me for anything that needs attention, it is in the information provided and posted. The guests who arrived the day after your stay did not report a problem with the kitchen water or faucet, the cleaning service that has been there twice since you left would have reported it. I reached out to the people there now, they said it is “working just fine.” So I am guessing you may have not have been familiar with the feature on the faucet that allows you to have a spray or a stream, perhaps? For future guests—if you encounter something g like this, please contact me while you are there rather than give me a 4/5 star review. The cleaning crew and I strive to give you a 5 star experience. Thank you.

The cutest cabin

My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights here. It was just as the pictures showed, so cozy, cute, and clean. Denise is very thoughtful- this cabin has everything you could need and more! The view was so pretty and the cross lit up across the mountain was beautiful. The screened in back porch is so relaxing and the decor inside is cute. Bed and pillows were comfy and blankets were perfect. The location is great. Downtown Clayton has cute shops and around town has all the basics. 13 minutes from The Dillard house and 15 minutes from Tallulah Gorge. Denise was on top of our arrival instructions and quick to respond to messages. I highly recommend staying here and we hope to come back!
