Location, space, activities - this place has it all.
First, location: the north shore is far from the crowded beaches of Honolulu, but this property is still close to amazing beaches (with snorkeling and surfing depending on your preference), good food (e.g. Pupukea grill, Fumi's, + walking distance to Ted's bakery and a short drive for groceries), and the property, itself, is in a quiet neighborhood where we saw few others on the beach.
Second, space: the house was more than big enough for the 8 of us that stayed there, and we even cooked / served dinner for 18 one night with friends and family. The pool is big enough to swim laps in, and there's plenty of parking - heck, it even has a huge fridge/freezer and two dishwashers.
Third, activities: I already mentioned the pool, but the hot tube is nice, too :). And the beach has it all - it's sandy right in front of the house (good for swimming / playing), but a few yards to the left has awesome coral full of fish and sea turtles that we snorkeled with. Further down the beach, there's great surfing, and the views were amazing.
