The first shopping mall in the U.S., transformed into micro-lofts, offers this unique apartment in a vibrant area of downtown Providence. With original artwork, a record player, and vintage records, your stay will be a unique getaway. The bedroom features French Parisian décor, creating a romantic atmosphere. This is one of the largest Arcade apartments with a separate office space featuring wireless phone charging and a spacious desk. Perfectly situated within walking distance of the train station, riverwalk, and Convention Center, you’ll also find yourself close to all Providence universities, outstanding restaurants, including James Beard 2025 winning Northeast Chef at Gift Horse, a quick walk right around the corner, and vibrant Federal Hill, a short distance away. Providence is a great base for a rides (and a close ferry) to Newport, Boston and the historic offerings throughout this area of New England.

Unique and cozy stay. The rental exactly matches photos show. I loved being able to say I slept in a mall. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. My only complaint is that the thermostat battery died, our communication about it went unanswered, and we couldn't drop it one degree. Our other communication re: a message we received about the key was responded to in a timely manner though.

Hi Megan, I did not get the message regarding the thermostat. We checked the temperature and the system is working well. Did you wish heat or AC? The remote system indicates that the apartment is 70 degrees. Let me know!

Beautiful little place at the arcade. It’s walkable to downtown Providence. Lots of restaurants and PPAC are very close. Very comfortable bed, place has coffee and tea pot set up. Enjoyed my stay. Lots of records and a turn table too!

This is such a well-kept and wonderfully cozy unit that is truly like none other. The hosts care deeply about your experience as evidenced by the level of care they took to leave suggestions, instructions, a bit of history about the historic mall you'd call "home" for your stay and even added an extra personal touch on the Scrabble board inside their coffee table. Laurie's responsiveness to messages was incredibly helpful from start to finish and was especially appreciated while I was learning to navigate unfamiliar territory. As my stay was integrated with a personal bucket list quest that has and will continue to take me all over the country, my experience at this unit within The Arcade will forever be woven into my journey as a highlight on multiple fronts.

This is the PERFECT place for a getaway! We came for our anniversary and absolutely fell in love with Providence! The location cannot be beat, we didn't have a car and were able to walk everywhere. Loved the cozy location-loved the decor-loved it all! We even found one of our wedding songs on one of the records there. We will definitely be back!
