Secluded on 3.6 acres of lush Hawaiian forest, this 1,295 sq ft custom-built home offers a peaceful and private East Hawaiʻi retreat. At about 900 feet elevation, guests enjoy cooler temperatures, tropical breezes, native forest surroundings, birdlife, stargazing, and a true sense of seclusion.

Designed for couples, families, or small groups seeking privacy, space, and nature immersion, the home combines comfort and practicality in a beautiful tropical setting. AC is available in all rooms and is supported by rooftop solar and Tesla Powerwall backup for added resilience in changing island weather.

Sleeping arrangements include 2 king beds, including one flexible split-configurable setup, plus 1 fold-out futon.

You’ll also find self check-in via lockbox, easy onsite parking, beach essentials, a coffee maker, blender, ceiling fans, and generously sized screened windows throughout the home.

This is also a family-friendly space, with a crib/Pack ’n Play, children’s dinnerware, books, and board games.

The location is ideal for exploring East Hawaiʻi’s natural beauty and local favorites. Nearby attractions include:

→ Hilo Airport: about 25 minutes
→ Paradise Cliffs: about 17 minutes

Road access note: the final stretch of road is unpaved. Most guests do fine in a standard vehicle by driving slowly and carefully, though an SUV or Jeep is recommended for added comfort.

The home is eco-conscious as well, with triple-purified rainwater, solar-heated showers, and low-scent vegan toiletries. While we prioritize eco-friendly products whenever possible, the home is professionally cleaned between stays.

Please note that this is a private home in a peaceful setting, not a hotel. If anything comes up during your stay, we will do our best to assist as quickly as possible, though we are not on-site 24/7.
