The Space:
The Sagewood Retreat is a stylish Catskills chalet surrounded by forest and easy access to some of the best outdoor activities in the region. Featuring large windows and an expansive deck overlooking the private parcel, this inviting 4 bedroom retreat offers a large, 8-person hot tub, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, a gas BBQ grill, and a children’s playset, ideal for relaxing and entertaining.
On the main floor, a bright living area boasts soaring cathedral ceilings, a TV, large windows and deck access. Prepare your favorite dishes in the fully equipped kitchen with stone counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Just beyond, the dining room seats ten, and is a cozy setting for shared meals framed by large windows. After a day of hiking or skiing, you can relax on the comfortable sectional sofa in front of the gas fireplace and play a game with friends, or unwind.
Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the main floor. The primary bedroom presents a king size bed, walk-in closet, workspace and an en-suite bathroom with dual sinks and a tub/shower combo. Two guest bedrooms each offer a double bed, with one including a laptop friendly workspace. A second bathroom with a walk-in shower is located in the hallway. Upstairs, find an additional guest bedroom with a queen bed and a double bed, plus a laptop friendly workspace. The home features high speed fiber internet throughout, should you choose to work remotely during your stay.
The expansive deck invites you to enjoy al fresco dining, morning coffee, or evening drinks, while the lawn’s fire pit and Adirondack chairs provide a cozy spot to gather under the stars. Families will love the children’s playset, and after a day exploring nearby hiking trails, ski slopes, or charming mountain towns, the hot tub offers the perfect place to unwind amidst nature’s tranquility.

Experienced hikers can summit classic Catskills peaks like Windham High Peak, Blackhead Mountain, Black Dome, and Thomas Cole Mountain. Quieter trails like Colgate Lake Trail and the Round Top Trail Network offer peaceful forest walks and beautiful lake views.
For scenic overlooks locals love, head to Acra Point, Burnt Knob, or the sweeping views around North-South Lake Campground and Five State Lookout.

Getting Around:
The Sagewood Retreat is just 2.5 hours from New York City. A car is essential for getting there and exploring the area. The main access routes are the I-87 S, Palisades Interstate Pkwy S and NY-32 S. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive, especially in winter, to handle snow and gravel roads.
