Built in 1938 by the Stokely family (canning company) and local historian Wilma Dykeman, it originally was used to store apples and produce apple cider. Super charming, well-appointed home with lots of thoughtful details. We enjoyed the pool table and the location fairly convenient to the Blue Ridge Pkwy. It is very quiet being near the end of a dead end road, and with a stream gurgling behind the house. We got to witness bears trying to raid the garbage can (not easily scared off).

Apple cider house is a great place to stay! It was a nice getaway for our family. It’s very spacious, beds were comfortable, everything was clean and it was nice to sit on the back porch and listen to the creek. This is a place we would definitely come back to.

Nice house. Close to downtown but still quiet and relatively secluded. The house remodel was well done with all bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. being finished to a good standard. The house was extremely clean upon arrival. It was well stocked with everything we needed for our two week stay. Be aware there are no mountain views with this house but there is a nice creek in the back yard.

Apple Cider House is an amazing place. It’s immaculately clean, comfortable with very nice amenities. We enjoyed the beautiful views and wildlife from the deck. We saw a bear walking! We stayed there with 2 other couples who are friends from college and had a great time! Would definitely go back when we have a big group.

Great vacation spot!!

Beautiful home, gorgeous view, quiet neighborhood, conveniently close to down. My family loved the firepit, and we even had a stack of firewood waiting for us! Would definitely stay here again!

Great getaway
