The Space:

Experience the rugged beauty of Bandon at this oceanfront condo with unobstructed views of the beach below! You might even see whales migrating from time to time. Bring your coffee out to the deck each morning, spend your days golfing, searching for agates, and exploring the local rock formations, tide pools, and the famous Face Rock.



What's nearby:

This beachfront condo sits immediately south of Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint, two miles southwest of shops and eateries in Old Town Bandon. You'll find excellent fishing and crabbing opportunities nearby as well. This area is also a magnet for golfers, with Bandon Crossings Golf Course (five miles south) and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort (eight miles north) within a short drive.

I was concerned that past guests had listed a few items that were not positive. When talking to VRBO and the rental company they assured me that the inside stairs 7th stair was broken and would be fixed, mold around the sinks would be taken care of, blinds that were broken would be fixed, upstairs bathroom shower curtain rod was rusty and should be replaced, and upstairs water pressure was low and would improve. None of these wre taken care of when we arrived. On a positive note the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. Carpet was clean, bedrooms were roomy, and the view was beautiful even though the access stairs to the beach were roped off and broken. The wayside close by had beach access. To note: Beds needed mattress pads and outdoor patio furniture would be nice.

While we were there 2 other parties were trying to check in. It was triple booked. Luckily we kept the key. The neighbors didn't clean up the dog poop and because there is no screen on the slider, dogs walked in. The blinds were not working properly. The dinning room table is not level. The 7th step up from the bottom was loose. Overall the view was amazing and being close to the beach is amazing.

Views are spectacular. We loved the proximity to the beach.The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful while being close to town. Only issues are to watch the 7th step, it doesn't seem secure. Also, no air flow in the primary bedroom. The shower in the upstairs bathroom has no pressure, while the downstairs has too much. There is one small window in the loft that opens.

This property had visible mold in several areas of the house, a broken step going upstairs, most of the furnishings were 30 years old, and there was no direct beach access. As my family has respiratory issues, the mold was my biggest concern/disappointment. The fire extinguishers were missing, the vacation property certificate was expired and the walls between the adjoining unit weren't insulated - so privacy was an issue. There was also many poor drywall touchups, the tub/shower combo upstairs was missing a diverter and this it only worked as a tub, the downstairs shower rod was rusty and there was a lot of visible mold, the pellet stove doesn't meet current fire clearance codes, etc... What I loved were the views and proximity to the beach, but due to the other aspects mentioned - we don't recommend this property.
