The Space:

This private Cannon Beach getaway is situated in the Hidden Villa Cottages, a small group of six well-designed, cottage-style rentals in a peaceful residential neighborhood near the beach and downtown's shopping and dining. Amenities for this home include a flatscreen cable TV with a DVD player, a futon couch in the living room, and free WiFi to stream your favorite music or research your next Cannon Beach adventure. The family dog is also welcome.



What's nearby:

The beach is a mere block away, and restaurants and shops are a ten-minute walk away in Cannon Beach proper. Stunning Haystack Rock and its famous tide pools are also a short stroll away along the sandy shore. A public laundry site is available at Cannon Beach RV Resort, two miles away.

We had a great stay in Cannon beach with our dog! This property is a great value and cozy. There are some interesting animal sounds coming from the frog pond but we never saw any animals!

unfortunately had quite a few problems during a 2-night stay. Bathroom sink was clogged and unusable, could not get a plumber. The window screens had holes so couldn't keep the windows open (no AC). And we got locked out of the digital entry system for several hours one night. Others on the property had similar problems. The property itself is not well kept, there is a stagnant fish pond at one end.Good location but not maintained.

Key pad did not work. Wrong room number given, and we walked in on a stranger. Payment not recorded. I was told it had not been paid when, in fact, it was paid in full. No host on site to address key pad issues. We left our luggage in room with door unlocked. This was a nightmare. Mattress pad was dirty and had an old blood stain on it. No TV. Scant assortment of silverware. We wished we had stayed at the Seiku location.

The place was a great location but definitely needs an update. The furniture was all ripped up and had worn out covers on it. The floor was uneven and in need of replacement.The wall paper in the bedroom was ripped as well and needs to be replaced. No ac which on one of the days we stayed was too warm for us during the day.

Nice place, great location, affordable, could use some attention to details. It's an old 1930s courtyard of small cottages. It's 1 block from Hemlock, the main street and two blocks to ocean access. Always quiet and always affordable. Things like hot water works well, wifi, etc. However the cottages could use a bit more thought - the "futon sofa" is big, cumbersome, cheap and not comfortable, plus they offered no bedding or blankets for it. A more low-profile sofa bed would be better and some sheets, extra blankets. The floor is cheap vinyl peeling off. Maybe invest in some commercial linoleum. The table and chairs are too bulky and you can't even open the door the full way because they are in the way. Invest in a small round pedestal table instead. Otherwise it's fine. just a tiny cottage for 1-2 people...

The location was great. We were able to walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The cottage was clean. It was just as described and just what we needed.
