The Space:

Nestled in North Forest Beach, you'll be able to enjoy all of Hilton Head Island’s activities within minutes of your stay. Located on the bike path and less than 200 steps from the beach, this four-bedroom, three-bath home has enough space for 10. Inside, you will find everything you need for a relaxing vacation, including a fully equipped kitchen for whipping up all your favorite meals and snacks. There's plenty of comfortable seating in the living room to enjoy conversation or watch a favorite movie on the smart TV. Gather around the dining table for meals, games, or good conversation. At the end of the day, you will love sitting on the enclosed screen porch or sinking into comfortable beds and enjoying the Smart TVs provided in one of the spacious bedrooms or bunk room.



When not at the beach, you can walk or bike to the many dining, shopping, and live entertainment options offered at Coligny Plaza, just under a mile away!

Nice family Christmas

We had a very pleasant stay in Hilton Head at this home. It was a short walk to the beach and close to shopping food restaurants, parks, etc. There were 7 of us, 6 humans and 1 doggie, and everyone enjoyed the home as well.

Ample room for family comfort, well equipped kitchen and very close walking distance to the beach. All our recreation activities were also within 15 to 20 minutes away.

Nice home, walking distance to everything, we spent a lot of time at the beach loved that it was so close! Screen porch is so nice to sit on and watch afternoon shower come in. Property manager is such a nice lady and picks up the phone and makes sure everything goes well for you and your family.

Great stay at Pelicans Nest!

We were looking for a house close to the beach, shopping and restaurants, this house exceeded our expectations. It was literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and less than a mile to Coligny. The layout of the house provided family gathering space and privacy for our 2 families with separate bedroom areas. The bunk room was great for the kids! The kitchen was fully stocked and the screened in porch provided a nice spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. It is also on the bike path which made it easy access for bike riding and walking. This was a great house and we will definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location!

The selling point on this home is the location. It's a super-short walk to the beach ... either down Pelican or Osprey. You can hop on the bike trail and be at Coligny in minutes. The house itself is totally adequate and what we are used to for a summer beach rental. A little dated. Not quite enough seating for the number of people the house can hold. The kitchen has lots of pots, pans, etc., but needs organization to create space to put away groceries, etc. Plenty of plates, bowls, etc., which was a real blessing! The screened in porch was my favorite spot first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee or in the evening while the kids cooked dinner. (The benefit of having adult children!) And the fact that full-size shampoo/conditioner/body wash were in all of the bathrooms was a welcome surprise!

Excellent Communication with Local Property Manager

House is as described. Provides good amount of space for an extended family stay. The lay out is really nice with two bedrooms on the right side of the living area and the other two on left. The room with the four double bunks is especially nice for tweens. It's set apart through the laundry room and provides a nice space for all kids to stay together. Our tweens really enjoyed having this bedroom\space to themselves. While the house itself needs a little updating, it was clean, comfortable and just a 4–5-minute walk to the beach. Also, on the walking\biking path which was perfect for the kids to go off on their own. We didn't do much cooking or bbq'ing but would say that the yard probably needs some work. I don't think it would have been very accommodating if we did want to gather outside. Chloe at the local VRBO office was awesome as a property manager and responded to the few needs we had very quickly. We enjoyed the area for the quiet beach and liked being apx a mile from the shops\restaurant area. Overall, the house and location suited our needs well.

Decent home with proximity to the beach-one major flaw

As the title says, the house has good proximity to the beach and was mostly clean (the outdoor shower was filled with dead bugs and leaves but since this is outside its somewhat unavoidable). The major flaw is the available kitchen tools. There were only 2 pans in the kitchen, one had grill lines and thus couldn't be used for something like cooking eggs. The other pan, which could have been used to cook, was rusty and thus unsafe for use. If I did not need the kitchen, then this house would've suited my needs.

Last minute decision

At the last minute we changed our vacation plans to go to Hilton Head. I found this home and was very worried that the pictures wouldn’t be the same as the what we would see once we arrived. To my surprise I was impressed. As soon as we walked in it smelled clean and the pictures were spot on. It was a GREAT location to easily access the beach and Coligny Square. Very spacious rooms, the cabinets were full of dishes and cookware along with silverware. If you look at the pictures it shows a room with two bunk beds joined together. I was so impressed with the bunk beds, they were all full size beds. Even the top bunks, I had never seen full sized bunk beds. And the screened porch was so relaxing. The ceiling fan kept a breeze around you while you set in this area and just relaxed and watched traffic along North Forest Beach and people riding bikes up and down the small access road made for the bikes. Great place to stay, I would stay here again if it’s available when we return to Hilton Head.

The house was equipped for a nice stay. Was within walking distance from the beach and close to shopping and restaurants, which we really appreciated. However, the thermostat was locked and would not allow you to go below 69 degrees. We asked for this to be unlocked - were told they would let it go down a few degrees, but that never happened.We did not have hot water. We contacted them Friday night (the day we arrived) and let them know we did not have hot water. Was told someone would be out in the morning to check on it. We came back in from the beach around 4 to start to get ready for our dinner reservation and we still did not have hot water - no one ever came to check on it. Had to reach out again to let them know we still did not have hot water. This time they did send a maintenance guy to come and look it. Upon his arrival we informed us that the water heater was very old and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, he told us that it would not be fixed by the time we left on Sunday - so cold showers for all. The hot water heater going out was not the issue - I completely understand these things happen. It was the lack of communication that was the issue. I called 3 separate numbers that were listed, left voicemails and not one person ever returned my phone call. Had to reach out multiple times before we could even get someone to come out and look at it and then were never offered a solution.
