The Space:

This property has a pool that can be heated between Labor Day and Memorial Day for an additional fee of $95/night. At least seven days' notice MUST be given for heat to be turned on. If the outside temperature is colder than 55 degrees, the pool may not be able to maintain a warmer temperature. If the pool or spa does not reach your desired temperature but is still warming, refunds will NOT be given.

Nice stay but some room for improvement

Beautiful home, perfect location.

Overall this is a beautiful, large home in a wonderful location. We had 10 people and there was plenty of space. We loved having the extra upstairs living room. The kitchen layout was nice, although we went out for dinner every night so we were only using it for breakfast and lunch. We love having our own pool, and it was a good size. The location is perfect. The walk to the beach was on a beautiful, mostly shaded path, and was about 5 minutes. The beach in this area is not crowded, even during the busiest time of the summer. There were a few minor issues with the house - poor wifi on one side of the house, needs a new dryer, and a couple other minor things. But overall I would stay here again.

Perfect weekend Getaway

House was clean. Had issues with the 2nd floor master BR AC not properly working. Did have maintenance onsite in a reasonable amount of time to correct. Oven not working and as we looked at past reviews this has been an ongoing problem for many, many months and would have hoped it would have been taken care of, but no such luck.

A lovely home with an enormous open living area and well equipped kitchen.

This is one of our favorite homes in the 25 years we've been coming to HHI. The proximity to the beach is wonderful, with a private walk path to the beach walk. Each of the bedrooms has its own private bathroom, which is fantastic. The kitchen is amazing, and the living area is ample enough for our 11 person and growing family.

We were 5 adults and 4 children. This home was perfect for us. The provided beach wagon was a bonus. It took us three minutes on the paved path to get to the beach. If your disappointed in this home I’m not sure you will be pleased anywhere.

2nd stay

This was our second stay here, first under the new owners. Was nice to see some new updates. Very large space with a bathroom for everyone in every bedroom. Was well stocked from the kitchen to the garage. Decent walk to the beach. Some minor issues with WiFi, smoke detectors and mold. Would stay here again with a large crowd.

Great home!

We are in our 70s and brought our two children, their spouses and our 7 grandchildren. Loved having bedrooms with baths for everyone! The pool and pool area was super and enjoyed often! Even saw a deer from the deck! Easy walk to the beach and loved being inside Sea Pines! The house was super clean and enjoyed by all! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, even dishes for small children!! It was a blessed week and would love to come back, Lord willing!

Great House For Our Stay

We used the house with family and friends. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. Everyone really enjoyed it. Everyone loved it and it made our stay more enjoyable. There is so much space for everyone to be together or to have the privacy. A few things to improve; (1) the master bedroom shower was very slippery; (2) there was no iron ; (3) there was only one wash cloth per couple; (4) not enough towel for the stay; (5) not enough toilet paper.

Great family friendly house!

This house has 2 large gathering spaces enabling large families to spread out. The “bunk” room was great for our grandchildren who enjoyed sharing this room. We loved having a bathroom for each bedroom. The pool was great! There are 5 bikes and many sand and pool toys in the garage. There is also a pack and play in the downstairs master bedroom. I mention these things as we brought bikes and could have left them at home. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Great vacation home for large families

This place perfectly fit our 9 adults, 1 teen and 4 children under 4. The rooms were spacious, plenty of space for us all to hangout together. The kitchen was large and had almost everything we needed including dishes and utensils for the kids. We had some issues with the oven and dishwasher but nothing that was an immediate need to fix, I did note it at checkout though so hopefully it will be fixed in the future. There was plenty of bath towels/wash cloths and extra blankets. There was even a pack and play in one of the bedroom closets that was useful. The garage was equipped with 5 bikes, a beach wagon and another beach cart which came in handy. The walk to the beach was a l it take longer than we anticipated but it really wasn’t bad, we just had a lot to carry as well as someone in a beach wheelchair we needed to push down there. All and all it was a great place to stay and met all of our needs and we can’t wait to return.

Nice Living Areas

This house worked well for a group of 12. A nice open kitchen and two good living room areas. The bunk room was great for kids. Close to the beach, maybe two blocks. Didn't use the pool but very private with the house on one side and wall in the other with thick trees surrounding. Was hard for much sunlight to reach. Overall was a good value and we love Sea Pines. Main reason not a 5 rating is just little things like not enough toilet paper or paper towels. Could have used more bath towels. No liquid hand soap for bathroom sinks. No beach towels. When I requested more propane for the grill that was delivered next day which was great. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Easy check in process. Good communication.

Vacassa was not responsive to major issues

The range/stove, pool heater did not work for two days. Vacassa was not responsive to the issues. Air conditioning downstairs does not work and many of the exterior doors do not lock.

Horrible Management Company

We received a text before arriving stating that our stove was not working and someone would come out to fix it. Someone did arrive the next day to fix an outlet. We asked about the stove, he glanced at it and said it was broken. After that, it took a phone call each day and the stove was never fixed. We ended up having a broken stove and cooktop our whole stay. I did finally get a phone from a manager stating that we can put in a order to see if we could get compensation. We should automatically get compensation. We had 8 people staying at a house for 5 days without a working cooktop or stove. About two weeks later, I received a credit for $110 on my credit card. No one called or emailed me to let me know about this. And only $110?!!’ How did they come up with this amount? We had to plan meal’s carefully since we did not have a stove or cook top. Currently, it’s been 3 days and still no one has contacted me about the $110!!

Look Elsewhere in Hilton Head

From dirty floors and bathrooms to scratches on the walls, we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of this property. This property is completely run down and has not been maintained well enough to be serving as a rental property. It is clear that the owners stopped taking care of it a while ago. The floors were rotted and flimsy in several places (which they tried to cover with rugs), the oven would not close (we had to prop a chair against it in order to cook anything at all), one of the oven eyes did not work, the furniture was clearly run down, and several lights throughout the home did not work (or the bulbs hadn't been replaced). The pots, pans, etc. in the kitchen also left much to be desired (not one baking sheet, except one that didn't fit in the oven). There were nails in walls throughout the house that appeared to have previously held artwork. Outside, the landscaping was not maintained either. Specifically, the path to the beach was overgrown with palm trees, which were difficult to push out of the way without getting hit in the face when walking down to the beach with armfuls beach chairs, toys, etc. Needless to say, we were not pleased with the property's condition, especially considering the price we paid for the week. The only upside to the property was the location. It is nestled just inside of the beautiful Sea Pines community and is a short 5-minute walk from the beach. We found beach access very easy (aside from the overgrown path) and appreciated the outdoor shower by the pool. I would recommend you look elsewhere in Hilton Head.

Hi, Micah! This home is under new ownership and is blocked for several months for renovations that include replacing the floors. Addressing all maintenance concerns such as appliances, plumbing, painting, and basic furnishings will also be done. All of the lights work, and the beach path is regularly blown and trimmed to maintain accessibility. Thank you!

The good, the bad, and the ugly----- overall the house is fabulous

Firstly the GOOD: the house is well stocked, I am very well. Two crock pots, plenty of plates, utensils, cups- even plastic ones to take out to the pool, and a ton of great books and games in the house to keep you busy! Lots and lots of seating and space for large groups! Two small wine fridges upstairs and one regular fridge in the kitchen. They had about 5 bikes in the garage, but all in varying levels of working condition. There were two beach carts BUT they were both broken in different ways. If you can rig it up, they worked. There are tons of beach chairs too but again, in varying working conditions- some were more usable than others. Shampoo and body wash in the showers. The LOCATION was the best! Less than a 5 min walk to the beach- if you walk fast 3 mins. It has private access from off the pool with pavers then a small sidewalk like pathway to the beach. It is off marker 46 in Sea Pines. You can park one car in the garage and 4 in the drive, you get 5 passes to Sea Pines. The BAD: Missing clocks in any of the bedrooms. The only actual clock we found was on the microwave in the kitchen. Recommend putting alarm clocks in each bedroom. (this is not much to complain about actually). Also, the dryer takes a long, long, long time to dry. Yes, we cleared out the lint trap and that didn't make a difference. The ULGY: Apparently the oven was not working upon arrival and Vacasa was aware of this but did not notify us prior to arrival or when we checked in. Looking back through the reviews, issues with the oven has been mentioned sporadically since March 2023, multiple times. We are a large group and planned on cooking in the home daily. This obviously made an impact with us. They would have not mentioned the issue or updated us on any progress to rectify this if we would not have reached out to them very often. Apparently, "the part is on order" to repair the oven and they felt that since there is a microwave/convection oven combo (again typical size of a microwave) and another (much smaller oven) in the home it should not be an issue. It was an issue for us-for example, it took us 1.5 hours to make bacon for everyone in the house in this very small oven (about 12 inches wide) to use that only had 1 to possibly 2 trays when forcing it to fit in it. They ended up reimbursing us something after a lot of back and forth and pushing, albeit it didn't cover the actual costs of us to get meals outside the home for all the days there. This was the only real challenging or disappointing part of the entire process. Communication would have been greatly appreciated from the start so we could have planned accordingly. Overall: We would stay at this property again, it is well suited to host large groups and you can tell the owners took pride in keeping it well stocked with thoughtful additions.

Beautiful Home, Fully stocked Gourmet Kitchen, Canopy Lounge Upstairs is great

Home is fabulous, the pictures give you an idea of the layout, and it is even better when you enter! Gourmet kitchen is the best part, you never have to eat out, if you choose! The canopy lounge is a great place to unwind and whatch college football/ basketball! The bike path is directly across the entrance and Lawton stables is only 1 mile away…if your up for a longer ride harbourtown is just up the pathway from there! Salty dog too! Fishing from the shore is great, we caught 40” Red drum and a black tip shark…released back into the Atlantic! This was my first trip to 3 Sandhill Crane and truly enjoyed the time here! Try the she crab soup at Salty Dog! Thank you!! Nick

Fabulous for 9 ole girls

Spent 4 days enjoying all Hilton head had to offer. Great location and accommodations were awesome.

Love this place

We have stayed in this same house 3 or 4 times but since it’s under new ownership this year the kitchen seems much better stocked with cooking utensils, the house is always clean and perfect for us.

Space and location jolly good

Each bedroom with bath. Location - short walk to beach. Wagon was a great help. Sea Pines is the best!
