Rehoboth Beach New 2 bed / 2 bath w pool, east of Rt 1 w direct bike path access

I moved to Washington DC for work in 2005. At that point I had no idea that the beauty of the Delaware beaches was only 2 1/2 hours away. Hell, I didn’t even know Delaware had beaches!

I grew up in New England and spending wicked awesome summer vacations on Cape Cod. But I’ve become a 302 convert. I love the ocean, dining, beach bars and art. And of course our resident horseshoe crabs. Rehoboth Beach has all of that in spades.

I bought my first place in Rehoboth with my ex-husband and young son in 2015 and rented for several years. After my divorce, I was eager to rejoin the community and I’m thrilled to be back.

This time me, my 13 year-old son and my 7 year-old daughter love exploring and enjoying time away as a family. This is the first summer that I am back and my home away from home is available for other families to enjoy.

I absolutely love Rehoboth Beach for its vibrant spirit and welcoming sense of community. There’s a genuine inclusivity here that makes everyone feel at home, whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning year after year.

The beaches are simply beautiful—wide, clean, and perfect for relaxing days by the ocean. Beyond the sand, the dining scene is incredible, with everything from casual seaside bites to truly memorable restaurants. I also love the network of bike trails that wind through peaceful coastal landscapes, making it easy to explore the area and soak in its natural beauty. And the arts add another layer of charm, with galleries, performances, and local creativity that give Rehoboth Beach a culture and energy you can feel everywhere you go.

You can be at the beach in just 10 minutes and back relaxing on the screened porch or patio in no time. It’s a place I truly love staying myself when it’s not being enjoyed by guests.
