My family very much enjoyed their stay in this wonderful VRBO rental. There were A LOT of perks, like a fridge stocked with drinks, a candy drawer, and a loft. The wildlife was fantastic (a hummingbird feeder provided endless entertainment, plus there was a visit from a porcupine every afternoon). The renters clearly put way more into their place than was required. This was the best VRBO we ever rented. I can't wait to rent again in the winter!

The Cottage at Quill Hollow was honestly one of the best VRBO's I have ever stayed at. The cottage is beautiful, clean, open, and bright. The host, Libby, was lovely from start to finish. Very responsive. Answered all of my questions in a very timely manner, and even gave me some details I didn't know I needed. This hospitality was extended even further within the home, where every possible need was anticipated and every detail covered. I would absolutely stay at this property again as well as recommend it strongly to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Hi there! We are the Begin Family, and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome you to The Cottage at Quill Hollow.

While our primary home and family farm are located about an hour away in Suffield, CT, the Berkshires have always held a deeply special place in our hearts. With a passion for hands-on projects, renovating this cottage into a clean, modern farmhouse retreat has been a true labor of love for us.

When we aren’t hosting, our lives are beautifully busy running our homestead, which is filled with large-scale gardens, chickens, ducks, and our three mischievous resident goats—Honey, Twinkle, and Pepper. On any given weekend, you can usually find us baking sourdough, preserving homemade artisanal jams, or out in nature exploring.

We fell in love with Middlefield for its raw, untouched beauty and the rare chance it offers to truly unplug from the noise of everyday life. We wanted to create a space where families and friends could gather to experience that same magic, whether that means hiking to nearby waterfalls in the summer or hitting the ski slopes in the winter.

This cottage is our peaceful escape, and we hope it becomes yours, too. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope you make unforgettable memories during your time in the hills!

Warmly,
Libby & Ernie

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We fell in love with Middlefield because it offers something increasingly rare: a chance to truly unplug and immerse yourself in untouched nature. Tucked away in a quiet pocket of the hills, it gives you total mountain tranquility while still being a short drive from the dining, skiing, and culture of Great Barrington and Lenox.

What we treasure most is the slow pace of life and the deep connection to the land. We love starting the morning with fresh local coffee, spending the day exploring historic trails, and ending the evening around the fire pit. Above all, we love the personal connection to this road—having our family just down the lane at "The Cabin" makes this peaceful escape feel complete.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The Cottage at Quill Hollow stands out as a high-end modern farmhouse oasis that perfectly balances upscale design with total mountain tranquility. Inside, you'll find a sleek aesthetic featuring warm acacia wood accents and matte black hardware, paired with state-of-the-art amenities like a high-capacity hybrid hot water system, an LG all-in-one laundry setup, and a specialized UV-sanitizing fresh air purification system. We take mornings seriously here, which is why the cottage features a fully loaded coffee station—complete with a Breville Bambino Plus espresso machine and fresh beans from Barrington Coffee Roasting Company.

Our location offers the ultimate "digital detox," where cell service fades away to let you truly disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature. Outside, premium amenities like a Blackstone flat-top griddle and a cozy propane fire pit set the stage for unforgettable evenings under a brilliant, starlit sky.
