Welcome!

Live differently - experience the peace and idyll right on the water. Our houseboat is located in a quiet residential area and guarantees the comfort of a holiday home. Dream away from everyday life in this beautiful ambience - pure relaxation.

The center of Alkmaar is only 600 meters away. If you take the ferry across the water, you can walk to the center of Alkmaar in 5 minutes.
The beach (Bergen aan Zee) is only 10 km away.

Layout:
Living area with 2 comfortable with 2 sofa's. Nice dining area overlooking the water. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and a 4 ring stove. From the kitchen you also have a beautiful view of the water.
The master bedroom has a large double bed, wardrobe and television. The second bedroom is small and has a double bed. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and sink.
Storage room with washing machine and dryer.

There is a wonderful seating area on the terrace. Enjoy the sun here.
You can park for free at 10 minutes walk. You can also park in a parking garage for €18 per day. You can load and unload in front of the apartment.

Canal Houseboat

Beautiful setting on a canal with beautiful views of water and ducks from three sides , family oriented, everything you need, washer and dryer was a great bonus after 10 days of camping.

Even better than it sounded

Was pretty excited to stay in a houseboat in a town outside Amsterdam. Certainly all the charm & peacefulness you can imagine. What I didn't expect was how sleek and well set up is the residence, how private and welcoming is the patio. But the most wonderful surprises are how close we found ourselves to the ferry over the river which put us right in the gorgeous old town! Centuries old buildings, winding canals, glorious ancient churches and municipal structures...along with lots of quaint bars & restaurants, and easy access to shopping. My wife has trouble walking, but it was easy to park close by, and pay at the kiosk barely a block away. Parking garage by the cheese market (a must see!) also easy to use for going into the old town. Close to the highway for 30 minutes trip into Amsterdam. We found this so comfortable, idyllic, and perfectly located it was difficult to leave!

Schön gelegene Location

Das Hausboot liegt sehr zentral am Stadtkern. Mit der Fähre kann man den ganzen Tag kostenlos übersetzen. Nach Betriebsschluss muss man einen ziemlichen Umweg zu Fuß gehen, um zurück zu gelangen. Fahrräder im Schuppen wären ideal gewesen! Vielleicht kann der Anbieter welche zur Verfügung stellen? Kostenlos geparkt haben wir meist im Edisonweg, 7 Min zum Hausboot zu Fuß. Parken ist für Anwohner „kostenlos“ für Gäste, falls diese nicht per Kennzeichen gemeldet werden, kostet die Tageskarte 26,90. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Nachbarn sind nett und freundlich. Die Innenstadt von Alkmaar ist ein ganz bezaubernder Ort, historische Gebäude, liebevolle Gestaltung von den Bewohnern, überall Pflanzen die blühen. Des Strand ist in gut 15 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Idyllisch und ruhig gelegenes Hausboot im Herzen von Alkmaar. Mit einer kleinen Grachtenfähre ist es zu Fuß keine 10 Minuten ins Zentrum, zu diversen Stränden in 25 Minuten mit dem Auto. Viel Platz, sehr hell und schönes neues Bad. Könnte aber besser und wertiger ausgestattet (v.a. in der Küche und Möblierung) sowie gepflegter (z.B. abgelöstes Seitenfurnier am Bett) sein. Trotz allem aber ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Urlaub auf dem Wasser

Das Hausboot ist sehr schön eingerichtet und man kann von fast allen Fenstern auf die Gracht schauen. Terrasse ist leider auf der Landseite und liegt fast immer im Schatten. Parken ist sehr teuer und man muss oft weit laufen.

Der Aufenthalt war toll. Das Hausboot liegt zentral. Allerdings könnten ein paar Sachen verbessert werden. Die Gartenmöbel waren total verschmutzt. Motto: Willst du sie nutzen, dann mach sie selbst sauber. Ein Toaster wäre hilfreich.

Hausboot Alkmaar

Hausboot liegt sehr versteckt, sind erst einmal vorbeigefahren und haben uns zu Fuß auf den Weg gemacht. Im Haus selbst war alles sauber und die Betten gemacht aber es mußten doch ein paar Spinnen entfernt werden. Der 2. Schlafraum besteht nur aus Bett und ohne Schrank für Kleidung der dann im Wohnraum steht. Hier sollte man ein schmaleres Bett hinstellen damit man wenigstens an einer Seite vorbeigehen kann und evntuell am Kopfende eine Abstellmöglichkeit schaffen kann. Wohnraum, Küche und Bad sind gut eingerichtet. Alles in allen war es ein schöner Aufenthalt.

Ideal für Städtetour

Zentrumsnah gelegen, tolle Aussicht in die Grachten. Nur die Parksituation ist schwierid, da die einzigen kostenlosen Parkplätze wegen Baumassnahmen gesperrt waren. Bei einer neuen Tour nach Alkmaar aber gerne wieder!

Excellent situation

A deux minutes du centre par le bac qui traverse en permanence en journée (sauf le dimanche) - bien agréable! Tranquillité totale et quelle vue ! Tout ce qu'il faut pour une semaine mais ne venez pas pour le bain à remous, il n'y en a pas :-(

Es war einfach wunderbar auf diesem tollen Hausboot zu sein. Schöner kann man in Alkmaar und Umgebung nicht wohnen! Man schaut aus den Fenstern und sieht Wasservögel und Boote vorbeiziehen. Die Lage ist zentral und doch ruhig, man hört kein einziges Auto (dafür kann man das eigene allerdings auch nicht direkt vorm Hausboot parken). Es ist mit fast allem, sogar mit Waschmaschine und Wäschetrockner ausgestattet. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen.

Sehr gepflegtes und vermutlich recht frisch renovierte Ferienwohnung auf einem Schwimmponton. Gut eingerichtet und ausreichend Platz zum Verstauen. Altstadt von Alkmaar ist tagsüber mit der Fähre in 3 Minuten erreichbar.

Tolle Lage!

Wir haben uns im Hausboot sehr wohl gefühlt. Vor allem die Lage hat uns sehr gefallen, weil man so einen schönen Ausblick hat und total schnell in der Altstadt ist. Wir würden wiederkommen!

Enjoyed our stay

Property was overall very nice. It was clean and very functional. Our family members which we were visiting lived about a two kilometer walk, which was a little inconvenient since they had two small children. It was also a little far from the train station, However, the property was very centrally located to Alkmaar's major attractions. Only downside was that if the ferry wasn't running, you had about a kilometer extra walk to town center. There was also a very loud party next door one night, but it ended by midnight. We very much enjoyed the uniqueness of staying on the canal and would definitely do so in the future. Overall a great experience.
