The pictures don't do this place justice. It is beautifully designed, spacious, and truly feels like a retreat. We loved the backyard space-the hot tub and fire pit were lovely. The location was perfect, allowing for a quick walk into town. We would definitely stay here again!

Felt like too good to be true! I booked the stay for a surprise weekend away for my husband's birthday. I wanted to do something adventurous while also feeling like a reprieve. I booked ziplining & a couple other local adventures which were awesome but it was even better being able to come back to our own cottage. It feels like your in a secluded area, tucked away with all of the luxuries you may need. It has a pristine hot tub, lots of outdoor seating options, the perfect vanity area that feels like you're in a spa. You'd never know your in "the town that forgot time" until you venture out. We were able to walk EVERYWHERE (except for our ziplining canopy tour). We walked to breakfasts, dinners, shows, shopping etc. The host obviously put lots of thought into each item she selected for the home. Everything was beautiful, easy & comfortable!Overall, our stay was outstanding and the host was exceptional! Extra bonus, all she asked at checkout was that we let her know. They take care of everything! Can't recommend enough!

Thank you so much for this beautiful review! It truly made our day! What a wonderful way to celebrate your husband's birthday, and we're so honored you chose to spend that weekend with us. It means the world to hear that the cottage struck that balance we work hard for. After a day of adventurous ziplining and exploring, then coming back to a space that feels like a true reprieve. That contrast is exactly what we hope guests experience, so hearing you put it into words so perfectly is such a gift. We're so glad the location worked out for you too! Being able to walk to breakfast, dinner, shows, and shopping while still feeling tucked away in your own private retreat is one of our favorite things about this spot in Galena, and we love that you got to experience both sides of it...the secluded, spa-like calm of the cottage and the full charm of "the town that forgot time" just steps away. Wishing your husband a very happy birthday, and we would be absolutely delighted to host you both again for your next getaway. Thank you again for such kind words!

We had an amazing girls weekend getaway! The property itself was stunning and Kelly thought of everything when stocking the cottage (makeup supplies, robes, etc). The location is also extremely hard to beat. Just a 5 minute walk into the heart of downtown. Would definitely stay here again!
