We had a wonderful visit to Bethany Beach, only marred by the mosquitos on the beach :-). This home is directly across from the pickle ball and tennis courts and pool. Great location on the property. It is also close by a grocery store (Harris Teeter), Dunkin Donuts and other restaurants.The vacation home was comfortable and fit our needs well - 3 generations. In order to make an even better experience, we suggest the following- The online review previous to our visit pointed out mold in the showers. We concur that in the showers with shower curtains, the inner liners were dirty and need to be replaced. It is unclear how often the tubs are cleaned but that seems like an easy fix as the shower liners can be purchased at discount stores. This was only a concern in the bathrooms with shower curtains. They should be replaced ASAP. In addition, the hall bathroom on the top floor should have the rod replaced as it is metal and rusted. A plastic one can be replaced inexpensively.- Instructions for trash placement are confusing. It is unclear if it should be placed in the rear or front. Other guests put their trash bins rolled in the front of the houses but some in the back. - It would be helpful to list where the towels are located. There were none in the primary suite and only 1 set in the 1st floor restroom. The rest were in the top floor hall bath. It would be clearer to just list up front where things are located.Overall a good visit and we would hope to come again

We're sorry to hear about the shower liner condition. That falls short of the standard we hold, and our housekeeping and maintenance teams have been notified to address it right away. The rusted rod in the top floor bath has also been flagged for replacement. We appreciate the suggestions about trash placement and towel locations. The front door lock mechanism was, and still is, broken. The code did not work. The battery in the lock device was dead. The garage opener device did not work either. I even went to the store to buy a new battery only to discover the wire from the battery was rusted away. An hour later, management told me the combo to the lock box on the side steps so I could use the key to get in. Even that did not work well. Finally, upon entering the property there is black mold and dirt throughout the unit- vents especially were dirty. The master bedroom closet vent was full of mold and dirt. The management guy said when we leave he will schedule whole house vent cleaning. The refrigerator had blackish mold in the water dispenser. The ice machine had black crud throughout the ice so we dumped all the ice and just bought a bag of ice. Dust on all windows/wall decorations like it had not been cleaned in months. The grill was so filthy it was not usable - full of ash and grease and had not been cleaned in a very long time. I wanted to use it so I spent an hour cleaning it. This could be a nice townhouse if owners paid attention to cleaning issues, but obviously they do not. I demanded they move my family to a non black mold house, the vustay management people ignored me and kept using rhetoric like 'we understand your concerns sir' and 'we will be sure to fix the problem'. There was nowhere to take the trash- they would not provide the dumpster code to take it down the street.

They were able to provide access to the home, and we're pleased to confirm that the door lock issue has since been fully resolved. During your stay, we also responded to the maintenance and housekeeping concerns you raised and worked to address them as quickly as possible. We take cleanliness very seriously, and any issues reported by guests are investigated promptly and corrected when needed. Your feedback was shared with our cleaning and maintenance teams, and follow-up work was completed after your departure, including addressing the HVAC vents and other items you brought to our attention. Our goal is always to resolve concerns while guests are in residence, and we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations despite sending our local team to assist. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve the experience for future guests.
