We arrived and the air conditioning was broken.The owner did not inform us but installed portable AC’s running vents out of doors that would not close or lock. The old AC unit was installed incorrectly &BR below flooded by 12 am. contacted owner and then was told not to run AC & we would be refunded. Covered mattresses that were being soaked, cleaned up flood, washed all bedding. Owner said trying to find us another rental but there were none & I had service dog. If we moved we would miss wedding events. I told them it was too late to switch that night and could discuss in am. By morning we were down two bedrooms and they were supposedly five but only four. My husband and I slept on plastic sofas in office that was labeled as twin BR. The next day we had to leave immediately for wedding rehearsal plans & Owner had not found another property. There were none.we returned that evening & another BR was leaking water through the light fixture & it had nothing to do with AC units. contacted owner after checking for leaks to protect their house and belongings and had to move my son out of room. Owner reply- IDK roof 5 yrs old. had only 1 BR w/o water damage/electrical issues. Electrical cords plugged in AC’s ran across floors, no outlets worked. Place was filthy: food in sink, dirty dishes in dishwasher, crumbs/cat hair all over. Old deck torn down & doors to it nailed shut on inside and out. nails & debris outside w/ ladders piled up. Check in key under mat! Safety nightmare!
