The Space:

This expansive beachfront estate was thoughtfully designed to accommodate large groups while still providing privacy and comfort throughout the property.

The home features six spacious bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite bathroom.

Sleeping Arrangements:

• Two private master suites are located in their own separate sister cottages, offering a quiet and secluded retreat. Each master suite features a king bed and a private ensuite bathroom.

• Four additional bedrooms are located within the main home. Each of these bedrooms includes two queen beds and a private ensuite bathroom, making the layout ideal for large families, multiple couples, or group stays.

The main house centers around a large open-concept living space that seamlessly connects the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The living room features an oversized sectional with ample seating for gathering together, watching movies, or relaxing after a day on the beach.

The dining area includes two large dining tables, creating plenty of space for shared meals and entertaining.



Guest Access:

Guests will have exclusive access to the entire beachfront estate for the duration of their stay, including the main home, both private sister cottage master suites, all outdoor spaces, and direct beach access.



The property was designed to comfortably accommodate large groups while still offering privacy throughout the layout. Guests will have access to all six bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite bathroom, as well as the expansive open-concept living and dining areas, fully equipped kitchen, oversized sectional living room, and the large oceanfront porch overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean.

The home is located on Daufuskie Island, a private and unique barrier island accessible only by ferry. Once on the island, golf carts are the primary form of transportation and are highly recommended for getting around. We are happy to provide guests with recommendations and assistance for ferry transportation, golf cart rentals, dining, and local activities prior to arrival to help make the trip as seamless as possible.



The Neighborhood:

Located within the historic Melrose community on Daufuskie Island, this property offers a quiet and secluded coastal experience surrounded by natural beauty, uncrowded beaches, and Lowcountry scenery.

Melrose is one of the island’s most well-known oceanfront communities, featuring miles of pristine beach, large private homes, towering oak trees, and peaceful roads ideal for golf cart rides and biking. The area offers a relaxed atmosphere that feels far removed from the crowds and commercial development found in many beach destinations.



Guests can enjoy direct access to the beach as well as access to the Corakko Beach Club at Melrose for an additional fee. Please check with the Melrose community directly for more information.. The neighborhood is ideal for morning walks on the beach, sunset views, fishing, shell collecting, and simply slowing down and enjoying the island lifestyle.



Daufuskie Island itself is only accessible by ferry, which adds to its unique charm and privacy. The island is known for its rich history, local art galleries, waterfront dining, and untouched natural environment. Golf carts are the primary mode of transportation, giving the island a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere unlike anywhere else on the South Carolina coast.



Getting Around:

Daufuskie Island is a unique, car-free island accessible only by ferry or private boat. We recommend guests use the private ferry service through Island Head for transportation to and from the island, as it offers one of the most convenient and reliable ferry options for visitors staying in the Melrose area. We are happy to help provide ferry information and assist with planning prior to your arrival.



Once on the island, golf carts are the primary mode of transportation and are highly recommended for getting around. The island’s quiet roads, beachfront scenery, and laid-back atmosphere make exploring by golf cart part of the Daufuskie experience. We can also provide recommendations for local golf cart rental companies before your stay.



The property is located within the Melrose community, providing convenient access to the beach, resort amenities, local restaurants, island attractions, and scenic areas throughout Daufuskie. Many guests also enjoy biking, walking the beach, and exploring the island’s historic and natural areas at a slower pace.

Because there are no bridges to Daufuskie Island, we strongly recommend coordinating ferry schedules, grocery planning, and transportation arrangements in advance to ensure a smooth and relaxing stay.
