Great hosts, met us off an evening flight with no complaints, comfortable, very well equipped, and very quiet, whilst being just a few minutes drive from supermarkets, restaurants and beaches.

Gina and Michael were fantastic hosts! They are very proud of their lovely home and pointed out all the original Portuguese features of the home when we arrived. Everything was immaculate, and there was wine in the fridge for us, two bottles! It was quiet and lots of birds to watch. They had everything that you could need for a great stay! I highly recommend this place and these excellent hosts! We will always remember our stay in Lagos!

Lovely villa with really nice owners

The villa is exactly as described. It is well equipped and very spacious. The pool is nice. We had some issues with the pool heating but the owner were brilliant and sorting it out and are available for any issues/concerns. We would certainly consider returning when we return back to Portugal

Wonderful place with lovely hosts and set within beautiful countryside. Everything was spotlessly clean and the house was so well equipped you had everything you could possibly wish for (umbrellas and games for the beach, books, a well equipped kitchen etc.). The pool is also very nice and a good size to swim a few lengths. We would definitely recommend the villa and felt it was even nicer than the pictures. The only thing which spoilt our stay a bit was the presence of a lot of mosquitos. It seems we had an unusal weather condition which brought them in. We liked it so much we would still come back but would hope the mosquitos would not be around anymore.

Slice of heaven

My partner and I stayed in Casa Burro Alegre for 5 days although we regret not having stayed longer! The home is absolutely beautiful, and the pool is just so ideal for jumping into after a morning/day at the beach. Gina was so helpful with supporting us in preparaing for our arrival. She responded to all my questions quickly! We did not rent a car but took Ubers and it worked out so well!! There are tons of ubers available so for anyone without a car -you can equally enjoy your stay in this home that is in a little more of a quiet area with other villas. Lastly, Michel & Gina are just so kind! They make you feel right at home

Very hot getaway

The house and pool were very nice. We got checked in and realized there was no air conditioning. It was 96 degrees out that day with 86% humidity. We turned on every fan in the house and the “cooler” which back in the US are called swamp coolers. Unfortunately I am going through menapause and cannot be without air conditioning when it is that hot. We called the caretakers and said that the “cooler” wasn’t working so they came over to see. It was blowing warm air. Non functioning. So we said we will probably leave in the morning and make our decision to stay. We left and let them know. When asked for a refund they said no because the information on the rental didn’t mention air conditioning. Well, the old saying one should not assume that even though the temperature in Portugal is in the upper 90s all summer that the house or condo will have air conditioning. So we are vert disappointed that they wouldn’t refund us our money with no vacation. Beware of money hungry owners.

We are sorry for the discomfort of the clients, although there is no air condition in the description of the house. And while the owners were considering a refund (which we communicated to the guests), the guests rude language and insults shut down this solution completely.

Aufenthalt Casa O Burro Alegre

Perfekt!
