The Space:

Welcome to your perfect vacation getaway in Western North Carolina, a tranquil haven just 9 minutes from the Asheville Airport and nestled between Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard, and Lake Lure. This fully-furnished, charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is thoughtfully designed with a split floor plan, providing privacy and comfort. Cozy up to the wood-burning stove, enjoy the Carolina mountain air with open windows, or cool down with central air conditioning. Savor the serene beauty of the pasture as you dine on the screened-in porch.



This is a dog-friendly vacation home! We allow 2 dogs to accompany your stay.



The primary bedroom features an en suite bath, while the remaining two bedrooms share a convenient Jack and Jill bathroom with a tub/shower combination. You’ll find all the modern comforts, including a washer and dryer, WiFi, and a smart TV for your entertainment needs.



Outside, many families have enjoyed fishing in the pond, hiking the trails surrounding the pasture, and letting the kids play in the creek. There is a level grassy space for enjoying volleyball, badminton, and croquet. Kids go crazy catching fireflies on warm summer nights. Grill out on the patio while enjoying the firepit. Ample parking is available, including space for an RV.



Take off from the house and go for a nice trail run down Foster Creek Loop in Pisgah Forest.



For adventure seekers, nearby Mills River offers excellent fly fishing opportunities. Mountain biking enthusiasts can tackle the thrilling trails of Pilot Mountain, the many trails on Hwy 276 in Brevard, or north in Bent Creek. Unwind at the Sierra Nevada Brewery with its outdoor music venue or savor the culinary delights of Asheville and Hendersonville. Numerous golf courses, ziplining, and white-water rafting excursions are within easy reach.

This property is managed by VueStay Vacations.

  • This property has step leading down into rooms within the property. There are three steps leading from the living room down into the kitchen and each bathroom has 2 steps leading down into them. The standalone shower is not a walk-in shower and does require stepping over and down an entry threshold.
  • Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
  • Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
  • All guests shall abide by our good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
  • No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
  • All properties comes with a starter kit to assist you on your first day before having to go out and purchase additional items. This includes: dish sponge, dish soap, dishwasher packet, laundry packet. Bathrooms will have 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap.

    From my experience, the host needs to change the key code access from a 15 digit entry to a four digit entry to simply access to the apartment. The apartment was very clean, but the carpet was in need of cleaning and repair.I enjoyed the ample hot water, the nice campground and the peaceful rest.

    I highly recommend staying in this peaceful unique farmhouse surrounded by fields where deer feed and the abundance of birds sing every morning. The home has everything you need for your stay. A short drive to groceries and a local craft brewery. Just minutes away from downtown Hendersonville, the DuPont Recreation Area where the waterfalls are just a hike from the parking lot, wineries and other craft breweries. Asheville is just a 30-45 minute drive.

    House was clean and well decorated. However, there are stairs to get to the bathrooms and stairs to access other rooms in the house. If you have mobility issues, this is not the house for you.

    This was the best place for a family get away! Charming home, beautiful scenery, and so much space to explore. We heard turkeys every morning, saw deer each evening and frogs at night. There were plenty of games and activities provided and the owners are friendly and helpful. We definitely plan to return!

    The house and property are very well kept and do not lack charm. Everything we needed was at hand and ready for our stay. Close to town but far enough to feel like real country living. Wildlife on occasion would stroll across the hill opposite the rear of the house. I would definitely stay there again.

    We liked how centrally located the apartment was for our adventures. But it was not very clean as there was hair in the corners of the bathroom floor and the living room carpet had many stains. The tub faucet needed maintenance and the mattresses were old and not very comfortable. Lastly, we found 2 cockroaches after we left the vrbo. Hopefully an improvement will occur for the next guests.

    The accommodation was wonderfully clean and fresh! The check in was helpful with all the pre-information. the key pad was very difficult to work but we did get in every time without calling anyone for help. The kitchen was wonderfully clean but sparse. We loved the rest it provided and it was comfortable. We were discouraged with the blinking wifi. The beds were very comfortable, although the headboards clunked against the wall at night if our pillow touched against it. I did LOVE how clean and fresh the place was!

    Near amenities, but dated

    The property was very close to all of the Lake Junaluska amenities. The water pressure was awesome and the hot water was hot and the air conditioning cold. However, it was reminiscent of staying at the guest room at your Grandmother's house. The property is very dated, with most decor, paint, fixtures, and beds from the 1980's - not very comfortable. Minimal appointments in the kitchen, worn paint, and bathroom linoleum. No coffee filters for the coffeepot, no ice trays in the freezer. The linoleum and carpet seem new and everything was very clean.

    Peaceful ranch home off the beaten path

    I was positively surprised by Vacasa after having a not so good experience the last time I booked with them. The property itself is stunning. A ranch home in a peaceful setting on gorgeous grounds. Early mornings and evenings you see the dears coming out. There is a fishing pond (if you like to fish). The owners live close by and were available immediately for small issues. I liked the location close to Ashville and Hendersonville but still being off the beaten path. For me it was the perfect setting to fill my energy levels… hoping to be back soon.
