Dog-friendly cabin with riverfront access - great for fishing



The Space:

Swim, play, and relax in this dog-friendly Tuckasegee riverfront home! You will fall in love with this cedar home. Enjoy the outdoors around the firepit or hang out on the sandy beach area. Take advantage of the cable TV and DVD player after a day of exploring.



The Orr House is located just outside of Dillsboro and close to all local attractions and amenities. The house is located within Hatchery Supported Trout Waters and fishing is typically closed during March. Please check with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission for more information.



Things to Know

The road to the home is a gravel one lane road that can require AWD/4X4 in certain conditions. It is located at the end of the road with an opening to this and another property next door with a friendly neighborhood dog to greet you during your stay!

Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.

Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.

All guests shall abide by our good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

We have been here three times now. Every time is just as amazing. We love it here, as It is so clean and relaxing. Molly, the neighbor dog, is a nice addition too. We are already planning our next trip back.

Cabin was very clean. The drive to the cabin was different from what I was expecting. Prepare for a long slow drive in. Once you get there the place is great! Was worth the drive to us. If you like back porch sitting, fishing, or sitting by a fire, this is the place to be.

Everything was Great! Make sure to follow the written directions. Look for the Vacasa sign at the top of the road to direct you towards the property.

Perfect place for fishing. The property was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms were clean. The road to the property is a little treacherous but we had plenty of groceries so we did not have to traverse it after dark. We would love to come back again!

The house was beautiful. It was very clean and smelled like a fresh built cabin. The rooms were clean and decorated perfectly. There was the sweetest neighborhood boy that we quickly became friends with. We enjoyed seeing her everyday and looked forward to her. The river view of the house was blocked from over grown trees and weeds on the edge of the river. When sitting on the porch it was hard to see past them. It does not look like it does in the picture. The property manager did check in with us which was appreciated. The drive to the house is very long and could be scary to some. I was I waste of how the drive in would be until we got there. It’s not far from town at all but the drive in to the house is difficult multiple times a day.

Excellent place. Road to house is one lane gravel/dirt but easy to navigate. Just SLOW DOWN. Never ran across any vehicles coming from other direction but that could get dicey. And night driving may be a bear. But we enjoyed the location. Only caught one trout but had a great time. Highly recommend.
