Historic French Country House with Pool & Alpine Views. 17 people- 8 bedrooms
Nestled in the heart of the Grésivaudan Valley, between the Belledonne and Chartreuse mountain ranges, Maison d'Andrea is a rare 19th-century vineyard house that once belonged to the local château estate.
Owned by the same family for more than six generations, the house was completely renovated in 2012 by one of its heirs and her American husband after many years spent living in the United States. Their ambition was to preserve the soul of a historic French family home while incorporating the comfort, practicality and generous living spaces often found in American homes.
The result is a unique 450 m² residence where original oak parquet floors, antique furniture, family heirlooms and carefully selected contemporary pieces coexist naturally. Every room tells a story while offering the comfort expected by modern travellers.
Far more than a vacation rental, Maison d'Andrea remains a living family home where generations have gathered, celebrated and welcomed friends from around the world. This spirit can be felt throughout the property, from the historic Gaveau piano and carefully preserved architectural details to the warm and welcoming atmosphere that defines the house.
Accommodating up to 18 guests across 8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and additional mezzanine sleeping spaces, the property is ideal for family reunions, multi-generational holidays, celebrations, professional retreats and extended stays.
Designed for Togetherness: Unlike many large holiday homes, Maison d'Andrea was designed to balance communal living and personal privacy.
Spread across three levels and surrounded by a large enclosed garden, the house offers multiple spaces to gather, work, relax and retreat. Whether hosting a family reunion, a group of friends or a corporate offsite, guests can enjoy both expansive shared areas and quiet private corners throughout the property.
The ground floor forms the social heart of the home, with a spacious living room featuring a fireplace and historic piano, a large dining room that comfortably seats the whole group, a fully equipped kitchen designed for shared cooking, and a dedicated office area suitable for remote work and co-working.
A second lounge beneath a spectacular seven-metre cathedral ceiling provides a more relaxed atmosphere with a large screen, foosball table, books and games.
Outdoor Living: The fully enclosed garden extends the living space outdoors and offers a peaceful setting framed by Alpine scenery.
Guests enjoy: • Private 10 x 6 metre swimming pool • Large terrace and outdoor dining area • Gas barbecue • Sun loungers and relaxation spaces • Mature garden suitable for games and outdoor activities
Character-Filled Bedrooms
Each bedroom has its own personality, combining family furniture, antique pieces and contemporary comfort.
Several rooms enjoy beautiful views of the Belledonne mountains, the gardens or the village church, creating a distinctly Alpine atmosphere while remaining elegant and refined.
One of the suites, located on the ground floor, has been specifically designed to accommodate guests with reduced mobility. With wide doorways, step-free access and a PMR-friendly bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, it allows multi-generational groups to stay together comfortably.
Ideal for Families and Professionals: The house is equally suited for family gatherings and professional stays.
Located close to STMicroelectronics, Soitec, Petzl, Teisseire and the Innovallée technology hub, it offers a rare combination of accommodation, workspace and communal areas under one roof.
For families, the generous layout allows everyone to spend time together while maintaining privacy and comfort.
A Privileged Alpine Location
Located in Crolles, between Grenoble and Chambéry, Maison d'Andrea provides easy access to some of the most beautiful outdoor activities in the French Alps:
• Hiking and trail running directly from the house • Paragliding at Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet • Cycling routes used by the Tour de France • Horse riding and karting • Lakes, swimming and water sports • Les 7 Laux ski resort and other Belledonne ski areas
A Michelin-listed restaurant, local shops, cafés, a playground and a skatepark are all within walking distance.
A Home to Experience: Maison d'Andrea is not a standard rental property. It is an authentic French family home, shaped by generations, carefully restored and designed to bring people together.
Whether you come to work, celebrate, explore the Alps or simply spend time with those who matter most, the house offers a rare combination of history, comfort, character and space.
