Holiday Home 'Azenha Da Lagoa Negra' with Lake View, Private Pool and Wi-Fi

An old watermill has been transformed into a welcoming home by a small lake. All restoration work was done to preserve its rustic charm while ensuring comfort. The house is located in a beautiful, peaceful rural area next to a lily-filled lagoon.



Along with modern comforts, you will find a covered barbecue area and a private pool.



The house is easily accessible, just 12 km from the town of Póvoa de Varzim, its beaches, and the A28 motorway connecting Porto to Caminha. Barcelos is also 12 km away, and Apúlia beach is 5 km from the property.



There are many steps inside and outside the house. The location is secluded, beside a lagoon with ducks, frogs, and various birds. You may hear typical village sounds like dogs, cats, and tractors, as well as experience the usual rural scents. Charging electric cars or camper vans is not allowed. Parties are not permitted. Please inform the host in advance if you wish to bring pets. Pets are allowed on request and are available for an extra fee. The house water is not recommended for drinking. The pool is open year-round. Heating is available from November to March.



A maintenance company has access to the garden for pool care, so please keep the gate closed and your pet supervised during these times to prevent them from leaving the property.

Needs refreshment

Beautiful property and pool area. Inside is in need of update to furnishings and linens. The property manager is wonderful. A good super cleaning is in order, the bathrooms are needing updating.

May stay couple with dog

First of all the host and communication was fabulous. Lots of very helpful local recommendations and friendly welcome. On the positive this is a quirky characterful property and is blessed with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. It is in a very rural location as described which was nice. The BBQ outside is good and the gardens are well kept. We enjoyed our stay but the kitchen and cleanliness of the property let it down a bit. We like to cook and the kitchen needs modernisation. The oven was broken and the hob is old and works but not well. The main area needs a bit of a deep clean. A short drive gets you to lovely beaches and local restaurants. We recommend the Apúlia beach and Barcelos (parking is tricky there but a beautiful town).
