Early March stay, 4 adults over the age of 55. I gave this a 3 rating for a few factors not covered by the star ratings. The home had not been opened up for some time and when we arrived there was no heat. The home is equipped with in floor heat that was not working when we arrived, and only one of the bedroom wall units worked. The property manager called maintenance and eventually a plumber to work out the problem with the boiler and in floor heating. The first 36 hours we stayed wrapped in blankets and coats. At one point we closed off the doors to the kitchen and turned on one of the gas stove burners which heated up the room enough for us to sit in it comfortably without wearing coats and blankets. Should the heat have been turned on and tested a day before we arrived? Definitely yes. The other issue was the lack of simple supplies. I have never seen a rental with zero supplies. There was 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and a few old towels. No dish soap, no dishwasher tablets, no dish towels (we borrowed bath towels to dry the dishes), no paper towels, no hand soap. In the two weeks we spent around Italy from Tuscany to Salerno each rental provided at a minimum, basic supplies and usually convenience items. The positives about this place are the size of the house, the beautiful views of the valley below and the quiet location.
