Wish it were my own!

Everything from the initial booking through the end of our stay was wonderful! Tom is very responsive. His studio condo is a perfect size for a couple. Has a good size kitchen and appliances. Plenty of fluffy towels too. Great location right at the beautiful sandy beach, the pool was clean and warm enough for a comfortable swim. I’d love to come back!

Recommend

If you’re looking for a quick getaway I highly recommend booking this place. The place was clean and location was easy to find. The elevator did not work the whole time we were there so we can to haul all of our belongings up and down multiple steps, but other than that the place was nice and clean and you could see the beach from this room if you looked over the balcony . Will be booking again.

Baseball Trip

The condo was exactly as listed. Very clean and good location. The complex was an older one and a bit dated. One elevator was not working. The unit had everything we needed. It is a bit dated but worked fine. We stayed for a baseball tournament and the unit had a new washer dryer combo which was nice but did take a long time to do a load. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Fun stay.

The property was as listed. Nice and clean. The second morning fire alarm went off. No fire or smoke false alarm. It just kept going off several times.

Great stay!

I booked this room for my best friend’s bachelorette weekend and it was just the perfect size for us two. It was just like the pictures and perfect location. The only thing I wish I had gotten was an outlet plug adaptor for our many charging cords, but that was a very minor detail. Overall, it was great for the price and glad my dates were available last minute. The Sugar Shack was a great plus! Thank you again for the great weekend!!

Outside building was clean but very dated. Interior needs rugs to help with sand, needs dust pan, lamp did not work. Dehumidifier could not keep up. Would liked to have known no small soaps, shampoo, or coffee. Room was very clean, great beach access. Pool and snack area was very nice.

Not a barefoot walk to the beach!!!!!

The room itself was okay, but the balcony overlooked the parking garage and main road to come into the complex, so the traffic was very noisy all hours of the day and night. But what did it for me was the description of the unit titled "Barefoot walk to the beach." SO NOT TRUE!! Unless you want to walk from the second floor through a parking garage to get there also the place is very rundown and needs so many repairs, which isn't the condo owners fault but still very disappointing. So yes, the unit was clean and in a nice area, but I won't be going back to Sugar Beach ever again

The floor was filthy when we checked in! I could not find a mop to clean it so I used the bath towel and it was black afterwards. The pull out couch needs to be put in the dumpster, it was nothing but springs with a sheet on it. VERY UNUSABLE. A cracked mirror on the wall needs to be replaced. We will not stay here again!

Great place for a relaxing stay

My husband and I booked this for a short beach getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We found the property exactly as described by the owner. Bed was comfortable, everything was as pictured. We wanted to enjoy the local restaurants, so the small kitchen was not an issue. It was a quiet location - at least during this off-season. The ONLY suggestion I have for the owner is to make sure the cleaning crew is mopping the floor. It appeared clean on arrival. However, walking around barefoot, my soles got dirty. We had a great stay - cool temps, loved sitting and walking on the beach, quiet time on the balcony, TV at night. It was a lovely weekend!

Comfortable and cute!

My wife and I stayed over the weekend for our wedding Anniversary. I messed up when booking the room and booked it from Saturday until Monday when it should have been Friday- Sunday. Unfortunately it was booked up until Saturday but Mr Hand was so nice when I called to explain my mistake and offered several other options. We were able to have a wonderful Anniversary weekend and stay in a very clean,cool and convenient room. I will defiantly stay here again. Thank you Tom and we hope you had a wonderful hiking trip!

My daughter's and I had a great time there. Close to the beach and had several pools. Lots of nice restaurants were close by as well.

Great Beach Condo for your stay at Sugar Beach

Great condo at the Sugar Beach Condominiums complex. The condo itself was great, and the check in process was seamless. The only downside to the property itself was the lagging wait time for the elevator which ran slow and was the only elevator option.

BEACH 2023

Wonderful weekend stay with my daughter, room and property very clean! We loved the 3 pools and easy access to beach. Condo was in walking distance of several restaurants. Only complaint is property only has one elevator, and the room needs new mattress bed, and pullout couch. Overall this is great for family stays we will be back!!

This is a well-kept and maintained property. Before buying this condo, I visited the property in the busy season to see what the guests were like. Very family oriented and friendly. Great location! Sugar Beach is in the western area of Orange Beach, right on the area’s famous white-sand beaches down from Gulf State Park. Only a 4-minute walk to Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail & Rosemary Dunes Trailhead, great for hiking or bike riding. Trail entry and exit is across the street from the condo between Planet Smoothie and the Dippin’ Dots Ice cream shop. Both perfect finish lines for that beautiful hike or bike ride through the park. More excitement is only a 4-minute ride away at Adventure Island where you will find family fun with mini golf, an erupting volcano replica, go karts, bumper boats, lazer tag, and an arcade. If looking for a delicious dressy casual brunch, lunch, or dinner, the Pier House is only a 1-minute drive to the west. They offer fine cuisine for dine in, carry out, or delivery. For a local seafood joint adorned with dollar bills serving up crab cakes, po' boys & cocktails, The Flying Harpoon 2 is only a 1-minute drive to the east. Within a 2-minute drive you also have Wolf Bay Lodge Restaurant, Ruby Slipper Café, Doc’s Seafood and Steaks, and Live Bait Restaurant.
