Host was so nice and easy to communicate with. The house is very clean and had everything you could need for a fun-filled beach weekend. Being right on the lake is great. There are great views from in the house and on the patio. The beach is beautiful and great for all types of water activities. I will definitely book again and would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful beach views, cozy cottage

Had a wonderful stay for the 4th of July holiday. The beach cottage was the perfect size for our little family of four and a quick two night stay for my in-laws during our week long booking. We loved the beautiful view of the beach from the back patio and enjoyed many meals outdoors. The host was very informative and responded quickly to any of our questions. We also enjoyed all the beach and water toys provided. The weather was gorgeous and we experienced many days of calm waters which allowed us to do some paddle boarding. We were very lucky to watch the amazing fireworks show by Porter Beach. The hosts made sure we knew the event was happening so we wouldn't miss out. The property does not have a washer or dryer but Amazon was able to quickly deliver a portable washer that we were able to use to wash our swim wear and kids clothes then line dry. Overall, I really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Fabulous place!

Stunning views, great location, everything we needed

The grounds around the property were absolutely stunning with magical sunrise sunlight and sunset views. The beach was beautiful and very private -- it was mostly just us for our June stay. The water was freezing but that did not deter my kids. They had all sorts of beach toys, paddle boards, kayaks, beach towels, and beach chairs available for use. The cottage was very cute and had everything we needed. One thing that surprised me was the steps to get down to the beach. We had small children and my husband hurt his back. So we brought a wagon to carry all the stuff, but that didn't help much. So I got a little extra exercise than I was anticipating. :) Overall, we had a great time and we'd love to go back.

Beautiful Cottage

Loved the location and the cottage. Close to the shore of Lake Michigan and great hostess. We were there with our two dogs, who enjoyed the beach and fresh water. The stairs to the beach were a bit steep, but with care getting to the beach was worth it (I've had an ankle injury recently that made walking a bit wobbly). The weather went from hot to cool and we were able to eat outside or inside.

Perfect Beach Getaway with access to Indiana Dunes

This was such a perfect place for our family (husband and I, our 3 year old and 1 year plus our dog!)! Can't beat the location - right on the beach and Debra had so many beach toys, chairs, umbrellas that we used! My 3 year old loved the toys! Beach was fabulous- away from the crowds we had our own little piece of paradise! We biked around Indiana Dunes and hiked some of the many trails at Indiana Dunes. Check-in and check-out was so slick and Debra was just a fabulous host- being flexible with us and very responsive to our questions. Beds were comfortable as well! It was the perfect place to stay - we can't wait to go back to our "little vacation house" as my son called it!

Wonderful

This was the perfect beach cottage for me, my husband and our nine year old granddaughter (who spent the majority of her waking hours in the lake). The cottage was very clean, well cared for and had everything needed to fully enjoy our stay both indoors and out. The view of the lake was absolutely amazing, the white sand beach was private and quiet. And yet, if was a short walk to the Indiana Dunes State Park. The owner, Deb, lives next door and was an outstanding hostess. She and her husband were very friendly and were there if we had questions or needed anything. It was truly a wonderful vacation and we hope to return next summer.

Wonderful Stay!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It is an amazing location with easy access to the beach and Debra couldn't have been more accommodating! We very much appreciated her hospitality! We were traveling with our 5 and 8 year olds and there were plenty of toys and other fun water activities. It was also nice to already have a table and chairs setup on the beach. 1000% recommend!

Wonderful stay! Very clean and cute cottage on a beautiful stretch of Lake Michigan. Location is ideal for enjoying the Indiana Dunes State Park, relaxing on the white sand beach and enjoying the local area!

This is a piece of heaven, Deb and her husband the owners, are very private they live next-door. They’re there if you need anything. Parking is tight. There’s everything you could ask for. Beach toys, floats, kayaks, paddle-boards. Beach is private and quiet. very clean. no loud neighbors. we will definitely be back. Thank you for everything.

Beach Trip to Sandy Nook

Our family had a fun and peaceful week at Porter Beach in this quaint and cozy cottage!! We used the kayaks, had a campfire on the beach, and spent lazy days reading and hanging out on the beach. The cottage was super clean and has lots of amenities...beach towels, blankets, jackets, well-stocked kitchen, firewood, etc. The owner, Deb, is very easy to work with and so helpful! We loved the cottage and plan to return in the future.

Close and Quaint

The property had a great view of the lake from almost all the windows. The sleeping porch beds were a hit with our kids. Debra was very kind and had beach toys, chairs, table and fire pit we could use. The public access stairs to the beach are steep and rickety. I would recommend reaching out if you have walking mobility issues before renting.

Cute cottage!

We stayed here for our grandsons 8th birthday. We had such a great time and the house is so cute and fully stocked. The beach has chairs and furniture, toys and a firepit. The view is absolutely amazing. Deb is so nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.

Location! Location!

This is a super cute little cottage literally steps from the water. Views are amazing! Beach is so nice! Perfect location to visit Indiana Dunes National Park. We will be back!
