My sister and I stayed in this adorable apartment for ten days in late February. While the weather was too cold (and a bit rainy) to spend time on the beach, we had a fabulous time exploring the culinary richness of Cannes.
The apartment is in a fabulous location. Just steps from where the airport shuttle stops, finding the apartment was a breeze. The apartment is a fourth floor walk-up, which was fine for us, but might not be the best for people with limited mobility. The apartment was sunny and cheerful with big, beautiful french doors that opened onto a spacious patio.
The bedrooms are nicely sized and there is plenty of storage space. The kitchen was appointed with all the tools necessary for cooking, which was fantastic, because we visited the nearby Fourville Market nearly daily. To say that the food in Cannes is excellent is an understatement. The Fourville Market, which is literally a one minute walk from the apartment, is teeming with fresh produce, meats, cheeses, fresh pastas, and more. We cooked wonderful meals multiple times in the apartment. The nearby restaurants are also excellent. Lunch at L'Affable was a real treat, and more casual restaurants like Jaipur and Jean Luc Pele made our dining in Cannes consistently strong.
The shopping in Cannes is world class. We loved finding beautiful items from designers we can't find easily in the US like Tara Jarmon, Repetto, Escales, and Comptoir des Cottoniers.
The apartment is very close to the train station that runs regular trains to nearby destinations like Marsielle, Antibes, and Monte Carlo. We took a wonderful day trip to St. Paul du Vence and visited the Maeght Foundation art museum. A trip to St. Paul is a must-do for art lovers.
All in all, the apartment made for a comfortable and convenient home during our visit to Cannes, and we would definitely rent it again in the future.
