Watersound West is hands down our favorite neighborhood on 30A. We have stayed in Rosemary, Watercolor, Seacrest, Seagrove, etc and this is by far the most peaceful. It's gated, on the southside of 30A, has a great bike path to the beach (which is never crowded like Seaside, Rosemary, etc), and is just extremely quiet. The house is about a 1/2 mile to the beach but it doesn't feel like it. You can ride your bike all the way there in no time, or drive and park at the pool if you want to walk and it cuts the length in half. The house was gorgeous, clean, with comfy beds. Two adults on main level, with 5 teenagers upstairs, so it never felt crowded. The only downside was the access to the outdoor shower. We always biked home from the beach and you can't access it from the front of the house, only the rear, which is not quick to get to. Just make sure you rinse everything off at the pool before going to the house. There are also large bushes in the middle of the drive, which you will have to push your bikes against if you have two cars parked in the drive. The neighbors just have river rock in their middle space between the cars, which would have been great. Would def rent here again, though! Management company is great!
