We rented for 21 nights. The garden and pool were maintained adequately. The inside of the house was a real disappointment. Two dining room chairs were broken when we arrived and an additional one broke while we were there. The dining room lights had no covers and exposed wiring. The kitchen ceiling florescent light had no cover with exposed wiring. A bad smell in the kitchen was a sandwich left in the oven where maggots were crawling. The downstairs bathroom had a broken window where part of the glass had fallen to the floor. The bidet upstairs spewed water on the floor when the water was turned on. The one day of rain caused a bedroom ceiling leak where water puddled on the floor and we had to put down towels to prevent slipping. The curtain rod at the upstairs deck entrance dropped down from the ceiling and had to be removed for safety. The kitchen freezer had ice accumulation and the doors would not close to freeze ice. We had to defrost the freezer in order to get it working. In total, the house had dust accumulation, no shining of the floors and all cushions, inside and out, were stained and dirty.We provided pictures to the owner of these conditions and she offered a very small discount as goodwill. We asked to be provided a different property on day two, but received nothing.We were embarrassed with the house and apologized to our guests that can to visit us.This house needs a professional cleaning service and professional trades to correct it’s current condition
