This was our 2nd stay at the Cajun Retreat. We can’t wait to go back. Eddie & Marilyn are very in tune with their visitors. The cabin is very clean and has everything we need. It’s so close to Duffy’s for us to see the Swamp People crew. We had a fabulous time and will be planning to return soon. It’s a must stay in Pierre Part. The view is so peaceful and relaxing. Just what we were looking for. We were so excited they still owned it and sharing it as a rental. It’s a 10 star for us!

It’s a perfect place to stay , such a beautiful site of the bayou . Very clean and accommodating. We had perfect weather and it’s close to everything you need or would want. We enjoyed our stay . We will book again.

Property was immaculate, beautiful and comfortable! We enjoyed the cabin BUT went there to fish. The fishing area was across the street and therefore not easy to access. My wife and I are physically challenged so it was hard for us to use the wharf!!!!

This cabin had everything we needed. So peaceful being able to sit in the rocking chairs each morning with our coffees and stare at the water. Excellent descriptions on the website and owner was very helpful. Definitely a must stay each time I am in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Big Cajun cabin.It was close to Duffy's and the neighborhood was quiet and very welcoming.We were able to meet, talk with, and take photos with several members of the cast of Swamp People on a daily basis.Communication with Eddie and Marilyn was easy and they responded quickly.The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had the necessary items to prepare a meal.Piazanos had daily specials that were both tasty and reasonably priced.Buddy's drive-in serves the best hamburgers, french fries & chocolate milkshakes.We enjoyed meeting and getting to know the different guests who booked the Little Cajun cabin behind us.We enjoyed our Swamp boat tour with Eddie and his shared knowledge of the area.This trip was both enjoyable and leaves a desire for us to come back to catch up and get to know more of the nice friendly people we met here.Thank you Eddie and Marilyn for accommodating our stay.

A very nice cottage style cabin on Pierre part bay

Nice dock on water, very near a boat landing for convenience, in Pierre part. Go shop the Pierre part store while your in the area. Very clean cabin.

Louisiana tour

Had a great stay, hosts were awesome. Communicative, accommodating and friendly. We toured the state of Louisiana with our English cousins and the experience provided by our hosts was one of their favorite.

Thanksgiving with Family

My husband’s family is from the area so we visit often but always feel imposing. We booked the cabin so we had our own little space with our 1 year old for Thanksgiving. My husband’s brothers and their families and his mother came for the day for Thanksgiving lunch and it couldn’t have been more perfect. This could easily become our go to place when visiting. We loved it!

Awesome Property

I loved this cabin, beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, very quiet. I love Pierre Part and this cabin is right in the village, and is across the road from the river, we sat on the swing in the evenings watching the river go by. Everything about the cabin is wonderful, Marilyn and Eddie are wonderful and easy to get along with, they made our stay easy and seamless. Eddie gives a great swamp tour if you are interested. Loved every minute, our stay went by way too fast, wish we were still there.

Bayou Fun

This was the second time we stayed here. It’s a beautiful relaxing place to stay. It is very well maintained and everything is clean and welcoming. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert are the nicest hosts. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Mr. Lambert took us on a swamp tour that was the highlight of our trip. He was so knowledgeable about the area and a very good tour guide. I would highly recommend you stay here if your going to that part of Louisiana.

Granny Chacha

Cajun Cabin was all we hoped it would be. The setting on the bayou urged us to sit a spell and take in God's beauty. The cabin's use of reclaimed wood for the building material was cleverly and expertly done. The rocking chairs on the porch got plenty of use and, thanks to the Martin bird houses next door, the mosquitos were not all that bothersome. Great week all around. The owners are so hospitable and thoughtful.

WoW..just amazing..

We love this place. We were there 10 years ago for my birthday, so we decided to go back this year. It's an amazing place to stay. It was such a healing place my wife just loved to just relax on the porch. Enjoy the scenery and the friendlest folks in the neighborhood I've ever encountered over there. Eddie & Marilyn kept checking on us. I had car problems when I first got there and Kept checking to see if they could help me. We hope to return in September, but this time for 2 weeks... If you miss an opportunity to stay there, you will regret it. You actually feel like you're sitting in Mayberry its so laid back.and peaceful .and the fishing..its Great..

Great location

We had a great time took our party barge with us and the launch is right next to the dock it was convenient. Cabin was super clean and very well kept up. We were able to dock our boat overnight at the dock that comes with the house. That makes to where we didn’t have to pull it in and out of the water. We will stay here again.

Father's Day Getaway

Perfect in every way! Boat dock/launch and bait shop within 1 minute walking distance! Grocery store within 5 minutes! Landry's Restaurant - delicious/authentic cajun food (I should know, I am 100% cajun) within 5 minutes! Water access to lake and fishing canals couldn't be easier! The cabin was spotless! Very comfortable beds, well stocked towels/linens, kitchen had extras, and front porch rockers overlooking the bayou was just beautiful! The owners, Eddie and Marilyn were super nice and accommodating! We will definitely be coming here again!!
