Lil slice of heaven!

We absolutely loved our stay. So sad to leave. Cabin was great. Loved the location and we took in visiting 3 states on our adventures. My husband loved the location for fly fishing even though they weren't biting. We would recommend it to anyone who loves outdoor adventures and the peace and quiet to boot! The cabin has everything that you need. It was wonderful!

Ok, but could have been better

The property is across the road from the Snake River which was great. Guests should be aware that you have a 6 mile drive on a pretty rough gravel road. The property was not clean when we arrived. Would have been a better stay if the property had been swept before we arrived and the well pump had been turned on. We loved the very beautiful and peaceful setting.

Great time!!

We all enjoy the stay at this homey Cabin... it felt as if they invited us in to there on getaway. The beds were comfortable it was clean and very inviting, it was perfect for the whole family.

Wonderful place!

We really enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable at this property. Very clean. Plenty of towels and amenities. Beautiful back deck and fire pit with a view.

Cute home with everything you need.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The home was cute and cozy and had everything we needed and more. Loved the views from the balcony. Tonia was quick to respond when I had questions as well prior to our arrival.

Off the beaten path

I didn’t realize how far out in the wilderness this place was. And if spiders don’t scare you, you should be fine. It was big enough for our group.

Cabin near snake river

Cabin was clean and stocked with necessities. Fire pit outside and dry wood for fires under the deck. Short walk to the snake river and short drive to the Palisades dam for fishing.

Rustic and cozy

We had an amazing time staying at this cute cabin! We loved the rustic, authentic cabin feel. And the location was perfect, close drive to the reservoir! The only thing that was hard was the heat, it was very hot due to the summer temps. The fans were helpful but if you are someone who struggles sleeping in hot temperatures, I would bring extra fans and be more prepared. All in all we would definitely stay here again!

Amazing getaway

Stayed at Tanya's cabin as a base for exploring Tetons and other parts. A rare opportunity to take in the beauty of her property, the river, and Swan Valley. Cabin is the perfect mix of rustic, modern amenities and visits by wildlife. Tanya made us feel at home and was very responsive to questions after arriving. Will be visiting again.

Great cabin for a fishing trip on the Snake

This cabin worked perfectly for our fishing trip. It has a large kitchen and a nice grill so cooking a few meals was a breeze. With three bedrooms and a Murphy bed there were plenty of places for a big group to get some sleep. Let's just say there's a really good chance we'll be renting this cabin again. I almost forgot, Swan Valley and the South Fork of the Snake are amazing.

The Beds

Everything was great, until we went to bed. The queen beds are shot, wore out and junk. Loved everything else about this property including the pool table!

Amazing property, especially for the price. My family is 4, with kids 6 and 9, had a great time. The kitchen is perfectly stocked and the house has everything you need plus a few things you may have forgotten. The pool table was a blast. The highlight of the trip for us was going swimming in the Fall Creek Falls waterfall and surrounding waters. It was a very short drive down the road from the house. Core memory moment! There's a rope you need to repel down to get to the water. All of us climbed all the falls. My kids got to stand under waterfalls and swim in natural pools all around. The water wasn't too cold and it was so beautiful. I do recommend water shoes with a good rubber bottom. We went barefoot and the rocks have this perfect grit, so nothing was slick which was not what we expected, but it's not the friendliest on bare skin. We all walked away with a few scraps, but it didn't put a damper on the experience. Next time, and we are coming back to do just that again, we will bring water shoes. I had one question while we were there and the property manager responded quickly and she was a joy to talk to. The beds were comfy, the hot water and water pressure were great (my kids experienced hot water running out for the first time, which i think is important for them to understand) but just a heads up if you're used to endless hot water tanks. Overall, we loved it. And we are looking forward to visiting again. Highly recommend this home.

Old Authentic Cabin

A unique place to stay if you want to experience an authentic log cabin. Lots of room and in a beautiful setting. Not for everyone. Many cobwebs and didn’t feel the cleanest. Getting to the house can be a challenge as the road is rough gravel. Trees weren’t trimmed so they scraped the top of our van. And, for the price you pay you shouldn’t have to trek your garbage out to find a trash bin. We paid the extra $20.00 to have the cleaning person take. Just seemed odd and inconvenient. Property manager is very responsive and if you’re looking for a place away from it all without frills, this could be perfect for you.

Good for Outdoor Activities

Booking the cabin was easy and Tonia was responsive and easy to work with. This is a rustic cabin which had most of the modern amenities you would fine in your own home. It's located steps away from the Snake River and is great for those looking for active outdoor adventures or a fishing expedition. There is lots of room to spread out in the great rooms and on the deck. We were met by a dead mouse next to the fridge when we first entered the cabin so be ready for encounters with wildlife both inside and outside the cabin. Because the owners use the property a lot of their personal belongs (clothing, toiletries, kitchen supplies, etc.) remain at the property. It felt like we had very little storage in the dressers and closets for the items we brought. From a culinary standpoint, there is no reason to bring anything other than perishables you want to eat. Any spice, condiment, utensil is available in the kitchen. In our opinion, this property should be classified as renting an occupied home rather than a vacation rental. There's lots of sleeping room available but with only one bathroom, having more than two couples or a single family with a few children could be challenging. Also, the owners need to come up with a solution for trash disposal since the dumpster option at the river bridge is no longer an option. Overall, we had great weather and enjoyed our three-night stay.

nice quiet getaway

nice place within walking distance to the snake river. having to haul all the garbage away would be a pain if you don't have a truck. Lots of spacious living area and nice deck and fire pit.

Cabin near the Snake

Very homey feeling. I don’t remember the listing mentioning how close the river is. It’s visible and audible from the house. Amazing!
