We have traveled to Branson for many years for an annual trout fishing trip, mini-golf and Sight & Sound theater shows. The resort was very easy to find. It is on the main roads, only about 5 minutes west of Table Rock dam. We arrived later in the evening, after hours, and as promised, the welcome packet was available for us and contained everything we needed to access the cabin, WiFi etc.
Upon entry into the cabin, we were very impressed with how nice it looked, how homey it felt and the great condition of everything. We got settled in, and retired for the evening. The next morning I got up and went to the lake to check out the conditions for fishing. The lake is with-in easy walking distance from the cabin, down a paved road with a couple of steep hills. The route can be walked back up too without too much effort. If you have a lot of gear, you may want to dive and park at Fish Tales offices at the base of the road and overlooking the lake.
The first morning, I met the Owner Ross, and COO Grant Poynor. Both men knew exactly who I was before I introduced myself and made me feel very welcome to the resort. They also gave me some suggestions for local dining and little known establishments. Grant made sure I had his cell phone number in the event that I needed anything at all. Later, we turned in out reservation at the main office with Sara, and had one request for an additional blanket, and we were given the utmost attention. The support staff is very supportive and most of the times out of sight, working behind the scenes.
The rec center is inviting, offering free pool, foosball, air hockey and a fitness center that has treadmills, elliptic and a very nice and new bowflex. The weather was pretty rainy when we were there, so we did not make use of the swimming pool.
You are very close to the State Marina, The Branson strip, Branson landing etc.
There appears to be a lot of pride in the appearance and condition of the resort, striving to make your stay exceptional. Overall, I have really enjoyed our stay here at Trophy Run!
