I rely on reviews heavily when booking, so I always try to write honest and thorough reviews after my stay. This property was plenty big for my family of 3 adults, 1 toddler, 1 infant. The beach area is not crowded at all, which was a huge perk. We had never been to St. Augustine, so we weren’t sure what to expect. You aren’t close to anything here…it’s a 10-20 minute drive to any store or restaurant but that’s both a pro and a con in my book. That’s likely why the beach is less crowded here, but it’s a pain when you need to go grab something.
The bedrooms are big in this condo. The primary bedroom has a large walk-in closet, but we were unable to use it because it smelled like poop so badly the entire time. I did put in a request to have it looked at and it was answered, but if we kept the door shut, we didn’t smell the poop. I just wonder how it made it past the housekeepers, because it was strong! I really think there was actual poop in there, because the smell would have gone away if not.
The kitchen is also big and even has small appliances like an air fryer, which is great. The dishwasher, however, would not clean the dishes. We had to thoroughly wash everything by hand. This is likely an easy fix by the property owner.
The best part of the condo, in my opinion, was the huge utility room with washer and dryer, and a ton of beach toys. We left 3 beach chairs to add to the mix, but my toddler was so happy to play with the beach buckets and trucks! There was an umbrella too, which saved us from having to buy one. We loved that!
Overall, a great condo at a good spot on the beach. The pool is nice, too. The elevators were never too busy like some of the more popular beaches in Florida (where we have waited for up to 45 minutes for an elevator!) and the condo community even has luggage carts and grocery carts that makes getting in and out so easy.
We would stay here again, but I do think this specific unit could use some upgrades/cleaning.
