Perfect Getaway

Private, cozy getaway. In the winter with no leaves you can see RV’s if people are there, but on hot tub side very private. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is clean and well decorated. No WiFi but we enjoyed disconnecting.

Grove river ranch

Me and my grandkids went to the cabin to get away for my birthday. We enjoyed hiking and fishing and the hot tub. We also spent 1 day in Helen GA and had a lovely day.

Very enjoyable experience

We found the cabin and ranch to be lovely and better than expected. The property is well maintained and offers a relaxing environment. For us, it was a very nice getaway experience.

Just what the Dr ordered!

First I need to say CJ was incredibly accommodating at the last minute booking I did. My husband and I needed some down time and some peace and quiet, so I found this cabin at the last minute. It was exactly what we needed to decompress. The area is gorgeous and we loved the large creek behind the cabin. The sounds of the rippling water were soothing and so relaxing I fell asleep in the chair on the deck! Would definitely recommend booking this cabin! Thanks again CJ!

Excellent and natural

If you are looking for someplace relaxing with a remote feel, this is the place for you. It is conveniently located to Gainesville, Lake Lanier (north end), and the NE Georgia mountains. CJ was prompt in responding to communication. We loved this stay.

Absolutely refreshing

The best stay ever. Quiet and private. Secluded and peaceful. Hiking trails a plus. Most convenient area. Very clean and problem free. Best value. Will definitely go back. Also a very private camper area. Horse friendly with certain fees.

Day before/after wedding stay

The cabin is a quaint, no frills place that served our purpose of being close to Gillsville the day before and night of our wedding. If you’re looking for total relaxation and peace and quiet, it’s a great place. If you need cell service (I have T-Mobile), you’ll need to plan to go almost to the main highway for service. This isn’t a complaint but just something I’d wish the I had known since I still needed to be in contact with vendors the day/night before our wedding.

Wonderful!

We stayed during the winter, but being from Saskatchewan, the winter here is perfect. The cabin was warm, well equipped, and the bed we used was so comfortable! My husband slept better here than ever at home. We saw plenty of wildlife and birds, and very much enjoyed the area.

Peaceful Respite

Away from the hustle, bustle and noise. Enjoyed just relaxing, hot tub and bed very comfy. At the Tracks in Lula a must for dinner! CJ very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.

Rest and Relaxation

This is my second visit to The River Cabin and it was even better than the first! I love the peace and quiet. CJ is so accommodating. She is there if you need her and makes sure everything at the cabin is perfect for your visit. I will be going back again!

Grove River Ranch Cabin

My wife and I had a perfect weekend at the River Cabin. The cabin is in an amazing spot, pond with fountain out front and a gurgling creek with listening distance of the back deck! We spent so much time relaxing, reading and sipping coffee listening to the waterfall! Plenty of trails to hike and we finished our hike with a picnic right next to the creek! Highly recommend this Vrbo location!!!

Nice stay

The overall stay was nice! The communication was great! We brought our food and nothing else was needed since the cabin was stocked up! The only drawback was the hottub stopped working which was no fault of the owner. We enjoyed the views, the trails, the firepit, the accessibility to the pond, the river stream, the horses, and so much more relaxation... Well worth it!!

A resident of Georgia since 1980, we built this facility in 2005 to expand my horse business and develop a nature preserve. The cabin was originally put on the master plan and constructed to house equestrian guests visiting the ranch to attend a clinic or a riding vacation. For a better return on the investment, I opened the cabin to non-equestrian visitors.

I performed volunteer work on a trail system partially located in Banks County for the US Forest Service and could not help but notice how scenic the area was. The rural atmosphere, coupled with a very low crime rate, no traffic issues, yet close to shopping and other necessities made it an appealing choice for personal and business reasons.

The many noisy shoals and scenic beauty of the river/creek was one of the most appealing features of the property. Once the center of the property was cleared for pasture and construction of the equestrian center, it revealed a beautiful 180 degree ridge view with stunning sunsets. Being able to enjoy the mountainous terrain, the appearance of being in the middle of nowhere, and yet only 10 minutes away 'modern civilization' via three 4-lane highways is a huge plus.
