Happy in Chianti

The house is beautifully located up in the hills. Bernardino-the host- and his wife are very accommodating and friendly. We felt very welcome! The property consists of 2 buildings with a main house and a side building with 2 apartments. We stayed in the main house. The house is well equipped and has plenty of space available, both inside and out. The upstairs -permanent- neighbors are very kind and we weren’t in each others way one bit, since you don’t share any of the facilities with them. If the weather allows the pool that belongs to the main house is a fantastic area to stay, with plenty of lounge chairs and a big table for lunch and dinners. If the weather is colder, the house offers all the cosiness you want with a big fire place (wood is provided). Gaiole in Chianti offers restaurants and a small supermarket. The Chianti hills around the village are incredible and there are plenty of places to visit, like all the wine castles for example. Firenze and Siena are within decent driving distance. All in all a great stay in very welcoming surroundings!

Tuscany Trip 2023

House was very large and roomy. Comfy beds! We really appreciated the espresso machine and water left in refrigerator. Host is very responsive and contacted us frequently. Unfortunately there were issues with electrical power- going out- area is somewhat remote. Loved the local village- we walked- it is close- but must be in good shape to do that as area is very hilly.

a great expieience!

We can very much rekommend this villa in Giaole in Chianti, a lovely littel town. The house is perfect for 8 persons (4 bedrooms) and lovely with the terasse and swimmingpool.

Alles in Allem ein super Urlaub! Bernardino war sehr unauffällig und doch immer sofort zur Stelle wenn wir Hilfe oder eine Auskunft benötigten! Einzig die sehr steile Auffahrt aus Schotterkies, welche mit Schlaglöchern übersäht war, war etwas ärgerlich (wir haben keinen Allradantrieb… somit drehten die Räder des öfteren durch), aber wenn wir oben ankamen, war alles perfekt!

Great place to relax

Il Trebbio is a very good place to relax with friend and family. The house is big and has everything that is required for a relaxing holiday. Most of the time we were using the pool area with the large table, enough sun loungers and the big pool. Bernardino was also a very nice host, friendly and helpful. Gaiole is also a very lovely place with nice locations to dinner and only a small walk away.

Super netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Top Lage. Großer Pool mit Sprungbrett zum austoben. Leider hatten wir zu unserer Zeit (September) sehr viele Mücken und Bremsen. Wichtig ist auch zu erwähnen, dass es oberhalb noch Dauermieter gibt die ab 7 Uhr in der Früh zu hören sind. Dafür kann man aber am Pool ungestört entspannen. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Superbe semaine dans un lieu magnifique

Le propriétaire , Bernardino, est accueillant. La maison est vaste et très bien équipée ( 4 chambres avec 4 Sdb par ex). L’ endroit est très calme , propice au repos et un bon point de départ pour découvrir le Chianti. Enfants et adultes ont largement profité d’une superbe piscine entourée de chênes, d’oliviers et d’une belle végétation. Nous recommandons vivement !

Entspannung in der schönen Toskana

Sehr ruhiges und schön gelegenes Haus inmitten der Toskana. Wir genossen die Zeit hier sehr. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Der Vermieter ist bezaubernd, immer erreichbar und kümmert sich liebevoll um alle Belange.

Bra feriebolig i hjertet av Toscana

Ferieboligen var bra, men sengene var harde. Utearealet rundt svømmebassenget kunne vært oppgradert. Husverten var hyggelig.

Fantastic villa in beautiful Toscana

Bernardino was most helpful, always replying quickly to our questions. The house was beautiful, the pool area was great and the view was amazing! Even though the temperature was high, the nights had comfortable temperature. There’s lots of things to do do in the surroundings. You can visit vineyards, go to beautiful villages like Siena, Radda and Florens. We can really recommend this place!

Séjour délicieux sous le soleil hivernal, avec réveillon du 31/12/18 au coin du feu pour notre groupe de 7 amis. Belle maison confortable et bien équipée, au bout d'un chemin un peu raide en pleine campagne. Le conseil de notre hôte charmant de nous rendre à Florence en train, en laissant nos voitures à la gare de Montevarchi, nous a été précieux, accès direct en centre ville sans difficulté de parking (départs toutes les demi heures).

Villa with character in peaceful setting but close to the town.

Spacious and comfortable. Cosy, interesting interior and everything we needed was provided. We were very lucky to have a few days in early October to enjoy the pool. We enjoyed our stay but understood that we had the whole house to ourselves and were surprised that there was a young family living upstairs. So there was a bit of noise from above. Very rough 0.4k track up to the house. Bernardino is a lovely man, very welcoming and helpful and did everything to make our stay enjoyable.

The property is lovely and perfect for 3 couples. Pool was much appreciated as the weather was hot.

Bernardino was very helpful, he gave us some very good suggestions regarding visiting the many lovely villages in the area. Suggesting taking the train to Florence and avoiding the parking nightmare. The place is well equipped and clean and in a beautiful setting. The driveway is a bit rough but if you take it slow it’s fine. Thanks again Bernardino!

Wonderful place with beautiful landscape

We were a family of 8; me and my husband, our 4 kids (age 14, 12, 7 and 4) and we really loved this place, especially the outdoors with the pool area but also the cozy house. We made a few trips to nearby cities (Siena, Florence) and to wine castles that is very close. Wish we would have booked two weeks. Bernardino was very pleasant and helpful.

Smuk og dejlig uge i Bernardino Bausanis skønne hus i Gaiole

Dejligt hus i det smukkeste landskab. Smukke rum, badeværelser, soveværelser, stue. Og der var RENT overalt. Også i poolen. Vores vært Bernardino Bausani var hjælpsom og imødekommende, feks med leje af cyckler. Det blev en dejlig uge i Gaiole i hjertet af Chianti. Med venlig hilsen Kirsten Dissing Overgaard

Amazing gem of a villa tucked away in beautiful Tuscany

We had a fantastic week at this villa near the lovely town of Gaiole in Chianti. The villa itself is beautiful, full of character as well as having all the facilities you could want. The main building sleeps 8 comfortably (3 doubles 1 twin) plus there is another smaller building just outside which accommodates another 4 people (separate booking required for the small building). The main pool is huge, well kept and has a great covered seating area with a bbq. There is also a smaller pool and hot tub near the other building. Location is ideal, just 5 mins drive from the bars, restaurants and shops of Gaiole, but is tucked away up a secluded driveway which means it is so peaceful. This accommodation is ideal for either a family holiday or a group of friends looking to chill out in Tuscany! A word about the host too - Bernardino is friendly, helpful and very responsive to any query. We had a great week and I highly recommend this accommodation!
