Clean, comfortable apartment, gracious host family, breathtaking sunrises and views

Prior reviews still accurate. Grandson Nicola speaks English, Lucia does not but both hosts friendly and welcoming. Lucia greeted us with warm, delicious lemon cake one morning! Enjoyed cooking in the charming kitchen with ingredients from the nearby market, taking in the views while relaxing on the large patio with a limoncello, and down time at the rocky but scenic Praiano beach on a picture perfect warm day surrounded by local families. Be prepared for lots of hills and steps to get anywhere - or catch the town bus. Bus stop to/from Positano at nearby city hall. Town bus versus Positano bus schedules slightly confusing until you get the hang of it. Minor issue with ants in the bathroom. Would stay again...

Incredible view

Everything was absolutely perfect! The view is just stunning. Even laying on your bed when you wake up you see the Mediterranean and the sunrise! Great big patio. The owner is lovely. I want to go back right now. One of my best trip ever.

Très bon accueil de l'hôte Nicolas ainsi que de sa grand mère (qui parle le Français). Très bel emplacement avec grande terrasse et jacuzzi vue mer. Logement très bien aménagé et très propre. Petite crique à 500m Reposant, tout ce qu'il faut pour de bonnes vacances

Schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Blick

Gepflegte Unterkunft in schöner Lage an der Amalfi-Küste. Schwierig ist nur das Parken, sollte man mit einem Auto anreisen, da es nur sehr wenige kostenfreie Parkflächen gibt.

L'accueil de Lucia est très chaleureux et elle parle très bien le français; elle était très attentive à nos besoins. L'appartement est petit (très bien cependant pour deux), mais très confortable, très bien équipé, très propre et très bien situé. La terrasse est grande et la vue est belle. L'isolation entre les étages est un peu déficiente (la bâtisse n'étant pas récente). Il faut emprunter un escalier pour se rendre à l'appartement, mais c'est quand même accessible comparé à d'autres sites. Le transport en commun est proche; l'épicerie aussi, quoique petite (aucune grosse épicerie à Praiano). Les annonces pour ce studio sont absolument conformes à la réalité. Rita et Étienne

Perfect!

Our stay was fabulous. The home was well furnished and the owner and Nicolo were awesome! The view was spectacular. I would definitely stay there again.

The perfect location

We stayed in this apartment at the end of July. It was just perfect! The apartment is very cute, cozy and comfortable. The view is stunning and we enjoyed so much spending time outside after a day at the beach. Lucia is the perfect host! Very kind and attentive to everything, we felt like if we were at home! The position is really good, just 10 minutes walking to downtown and 3 minutes to the bus stop. We arrived by car but dropped it off on the street outside the house for the all staying and moved by bus. It's way easier. We recommend this apartment and Praiano in general because it's half way to Positano and Amalfi, there are many nice beaches and the little town is really cute and lively in july-august. It's the town we liked the most, I would recommend it mostly for young couples and families.

Wonderful stay at Lucia's studio

Lucia's studio was perfect. The views were incredible, the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware. The bathroom is spacious and the shower has good water pressure. Lucia was extremely welcoming. She greeted us with gelato and gave us some cake one of the mornings of our stay. I would definitely stay with Lucia again and recommend her studio to anyone! Thanks, Lucia!

Praiano, studio apt

We loved the studio apt in Praiano! It had everything we needed for our stay, and we especially enjoyed the large terrace! It looks exactly like the pictures but even more so and the apt has many personal touches which made it very cozy. The shower is very spacious which we liked and the kitchen is very well equipped. Lucia was very welcoming, and even though she spoke little English, we were able to communicate with our limited Italian! The village is small but very peaceful, and we enjoyed exploring the many pathways and steps. We definitely recommend this place and will come back again!

Perfect view of the Amalfi coast

Absolutely loved our stay in Praiano! Lucia's property is immaculate! The little apartment has a great terrace that really lets you enjoy the view of the Amalfi coast.

Ruhige Lage mit grandiosen Ausblick auf das Meer

Eine geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung; die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Das große Plus ist die atemberaubende Lage ca. 100 Meter über dem Meer mit einem grandiosen Panorama und die große überdachte Terrasse. Das Auffinden war schwierig, weil vom Vermieter keine Angaben gekommen waren. Die Abstellmöglichkeiten für PKWs sind eingeschränkt.

Un petit paradis !

Nous avons passé 3 jours merveilleux à Praiano, dans cette maison qui surplombe le village et la mer. Elle est grande et fonctionnelle, il faut juste de bons mollets pour monter les marches qui y amènent. Anna et Luigi sont très accueillants et chaleureux, c'était un super séjour sans fausse note, merci !

Great location, clean, great view

Use the previous reviewers directions on how to get there.. They were very helpful. Thank you! Condo was great. Very clean, kitchen was great. The bed was actually two twins pushed together which I guess is common in Italy. Pretty comfortable. The patio was amazing. A good amount of it is covered by bamboo to go give extra privacy, although this limits the amount of time you can lay out in the sun. The owner was very nice and her grandson was awesome as well. He helped translate and bring down the luggage. My only negative comment is that the room is located directly below the owner and she seemed to wake up pretty early in the morning and clean, talk on the phone (basically just a lot of noise) . If you are a light sleeper like me it may difficult to sleep in past 730-8am. This is really the only thing that kept it from being a 5 star review. All that being said I would still recommend it! Great location!

Spotless with a view!

Our stay here was perfect. The pictures showed the apartment just as it is. Lucia is delightful, but her English is very limited. We did manage to communicate through. Praiano is a charming village with several restaurants. Wonderful little market and restaurant a quick walk from the apartment. Great location about half between Positano and Amalfi. If you are driving it can be a little difficult to find. Via Umberto is the first left after the tunnel in Praiano. One way going up past the Tutto X Tutti market. After you pass the City Hall on your right, the gate to the apartment will be on your left. Hope this helps.

Absolutely perfect!

We stayed here for 4 days and everything was perfect. The apartment was beautiful and spotless. It is in a great location and Praiano is the perfect place to stay. Everything you need is within easy walking distance. The view from the terrace is spectacular. Thank you Lucia, we had a wonderful time!

Lovely apartment

We had a great stay at Lucia's apartment and she was very welcoming! The apartment was ideal for what we needed with a large balcony and fantastic views. The supermarket was within walking distance and the beach 15 minutes by foot. There was a bus stop at the bottom of the road which provided transport to Sorrento, Amalfi and Positano. There is no washing machine in the apartment but we were able to hand wash our clothes and dry them on the balcony. The wifi connection is also not great so planning day trips was a little difficult. A lovely stay and a very friendly host. We would love to return to Praiano.

très bonne impression, logement assez typique, propre et bien aménagé. Accueil excellent de Lucia.

La propriété donne sur une vue imprenable, avec citronnier, mer et plantes fleuries. Elle se situe dans une petite ville encore très authentique et typique d'où l'on peut explorer toute la côte et rejoindre la mer pour se baigner. Le logement est très propre, fonctionnel et calme. Il propose le confort nécessaire. Une grande terrasse permet de se retrouver et d'admirer la vue sur la côte amalfitaine. L'accueil de Lucia et de sa fille est très chaleureux et d'un grand soutien. A recommander.

Vue magnifique

Merci Lucia pour ces bons moments passés chez vous .Le studio est vaste et bien équipé avec une petite terrasse mais une vue à couper le souffle .Lucia est adorable et parle le Français parfaitement , à cette époque nous avons trouvé une place de stationnement pour la voiture sans problème .Praiano est un gros village avec plein de charme et de nombreux restaurants. De formidables vacances!!

Nous avons séjourné dans le studio tout à fait charmant de Lucia pendant 5 jours. L'appartement comporte tout le nécessaire, est très propre et est très bien situé (à proximité des bus qui sillonne la côte amalfitenne : SITA, bus pour Positano). La terrasse ensoleillée presque toute la journée nous a permis de nous reposer pendant notre trop court séjour. Lucia est très accueillante et très charmante, ce qui a contribué à notre appréciation de notre séjour. Si l'occasion se représente, nous n'hésiterions pas à y retourner, avec un très grand plaisir!!!

Splendid holidays!

We stayed in Praiano for two weeks in March/April. Lucia gave us a very warm welcome and was a lovely host. As we hardly speak any Italian, the conversation was always accompanied by many gestures and hearty laughter. We enjoyed beautiful views, lots of sunshine and wonderful meals on the terrace. The small walk to the village and the shops, where you get fresh local products (mozzarella di bufala, proscuitto, vegetables!), became our daily ritual. We can recommend pizza and pasta at "Che Bonta" (especially for takeaway) who have very reasonable prices. The little fish market at the end of the road is open everyday and has wonderful seafood. Amalfi, Positano and Cetara were our favourite places right behind Lucias lovely holiday home ... ;-) In our opinion, the Amalfi Coast should definitely be visited in the off-peak season, as it is hardly imaginable how the traffic on the narrow road can be managed in summer. We thank Lucia for our beautiful vacation and can truly recommend the place!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC STAY

Came here for 9 days to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversary and what a wonderful place we chose to do this. The apartment was exactly as described, the terrace was breathtaking and Lucia and her daughter, Anna, were simply lovely people. Lucia surprised us a few times with little cakes and ice-cream and Anna insisted that we join her family and her rental guests for a pizza night at their villa on the evening of our anniversary which was such a laugh - especially considering that her guests were French & German and we didn't speak either language.....although their command of English put us to shame! We then spent a lovely day with the same people going to Capri. The whole trip was wonderful and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The only down-side were the hills and steps but, come on, it's the Amalfi Coast!!!! A huge thank you, though, to Lucia and Anna for making us feel so special during our stay.

Excellent host

My wife and I stayed in Praiano from 23rd June to 30th June 2015. Our host Lucia is a very friendly person and helped us with the requested information. He surprised us with a traditional lemon cake. The accommodation is very good, we had everything we need to enjoy the holiday. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby in a few hundred meters, bus station also in 100 meters. I recommend the place if you want peace, a wonderful sea view from the terrace, friendly neighbors and an excellent host. Thank you Lucia! Alex & Tina

Un endroit parfait pour de très belles vacances

Que dire qui ne l'a pas été ? L'appartement est tout à fait conforme à la description. Il offre tout le confort nécessaire à un agréable séjour, il est très propre et la terrasse bien équipée offre une vue exceptionnelle. Il est parfaitement situé à quelques minutes d'une supérette et surtout tout à côté d'un arrêt de bus (numéro 9) qui permet de visiter toute la région sans avoir à conduire. Nous avions un peu hésité sur le choix de Praiano moins vivante que ses voisines Positano et Amalfi. Nous n'avons vraiment pas regretté notre choix, tout y est charmant et on n'y manque de rien. Lucia, qui vit dans un appartement au-dessus, est une dame très sympathique, pleine de bons conseils et discrète. Présente quand il le faut, elle sait se faire totalement oublier afin que vous vous sentiez seuls et chez vous. Une belle adresse donc, à recommander pour ses nombreuses qualités et pour son excellent rapport qualité-prix.
