We stayed on the North side of Casa Gemelos and had an absolutely wonderful experience! First off, location: the home itself is situated on the quiet end of the island, which was extremely peaceful and relaxing, but we were still within a 10-15 minute golf cart ride to downtown and North Beach, which was always a fun ride. There were many other restaurants close by, and many that were willing to deliver, so accessibility was never a problem. I would definitely recommend renting a golf cart for your stay, but the taxi service is also good if you'd rather not drive and they typically pick you up fairly quickly.
Second - accommodations: the infinity pool is unbelievable. The pictures are exactly as advertised and we used the pool EVERY day. The four year old we had with our group absolutely loved it, and since the ocean is a little dangerous to swim in on this side of the island (due to strong currents), we had the best of both worlds: a safe place to swim with an absolutely stunning view of the ocean. The main social room - a combination of living/dining/kitchen was beautiful. We cooked in the kitchen -- which was stocked with plenty of great equipment -- and it was very well laid out for large group cooking and meals. Also - you don't need to buy bottled water! We were pleasantly surprised when we showed up to learn that there is a large jug of filtered water (as well as several refills) available for our consumption. The rooms were all beautiful and equipped with A/C, with the gem being the master bedroom, which has a stunning view of the ocean, access to an upper, shaded deck with outdoor bed/hammock, and a jacuzzi.
Third - hospitality: Roberto and Judy (the daily caretakers) are wonderful people. They were always exceptionally courteous and accommodating, and even checked to ensure the baby travelling with us wasn't asleep before using any cleaning or gardening equipment that was loud. We were also lucky to share the property with the owners - Maureen and Colleen -- who stayed on the South side for half of our stay. They care a great deal about the property, were very gracious hosts (telling us about the best spots to eat at / visit, helping us with any concerns, even giving us a golf cart ride back to the ferry), and were just fun to be around!
We would definitely do a repeat trip here! This is a great place not only for families, but also a fun, swanky place to stay with a group of couples. Wonderful all-around!
