Very nice holiday!

The contact with host Richard was fast and good. The apartment was a little bit dated but clean, enough space for stuff and very nice located. We will definitely come back!

Great location

The apartment was spacious for 3 adults and in an excellent location in the resort (although that also meant it can be noisy on a night). The facilities and furnishings were fine. We did find the check in process a little cumbersome with the owner having to physicaly post the key to us which got delayed in the post. Also having to take our own linen was unusual. The self-cleaning approach could be an issue if previous tennats didnt clean very well (it was fine for us). But overall a nice apartment in a good location and excellent response from the owner.

Vacances hiver 2024

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour pour nos vacances d’hiver dans l’appartement de Richard. La localisation est idéale, la place Caron au pied de l’immeuble est vraiment idyllique. Nous avions juste à ouvrir la porte du local à ski et à chausser pour démarrer notre journée. L’appartement est très spacieux et parfait pour accueillir une famille. Bref, c’était le top!

Wirklich schöne Wohnung

Die Wohnung ist gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man benötigt. Besonders der kleine Backofen, die Spülmaschine und das 4-Platten-Induktionsfeld machen das Kochen angenehm, quasi wie zuhause. Es gibt einen Toaster Wasserkocher und eine Filterkaffeemaschine. Es waren sogar Spültabs und Spüli vor Ort. Etwas kompliziert ist, dass man zu Beginn die Inventarliste checken muss und wir manche Dinge nicht genau zuordnen konnten. Bei den Betten ist zu beachten, dass man einen Bettbezug für eine große 2-Personen-Bettdecke mitnimmt, da es zum Doppelbett nur eine große Bettdecke gibt. Die Wohnung war schön warm und auch die Lage ist prima. Man hat eine tolle Aussicht auf die Berge und ist sofort vom Skikeller aus auf der Piste. Leider war es nachts durch Gegröle auf der Straße teilweise bis 3Uhr sehr laut, was jemanden mit leichtem Schlaf stören könnte. Die Sauberkeit der Wohnung hängt vom Vormieter ab, was bei uns zum Glück völlig in Ordnung war. Ein Tipp zum Duschen: Es gibt dort einen elektrisch beheizten Wasserboiler, der lange zum Nachheizen braucht (12h, wenn ganz leer). Bei vier Personen kann es dann mit dem Duschen hintereinander mit Warmwasser knapp werden. Die Korrespondenz mit dem Vermieter ist sehr nett und schnell. Der Briefkasten, um am Anfang die Inventarliste und am Ende den Schlüssel an den Vermieter zurückzuschicken, befindet sich sogar im Haus. Also auch problemlos und kein großes Ding. Insgesamt eine tolle Wohnung, die wir sicherlich noch einmal mieten würden.

Très bien

Appartement très sympa, fonctionnel, bien équipé, conforme à l’annonce, et parfaitement situé dans la station, au pied des pistes. On n’a pas eu froid dans la chambre verrière ! Quelques petits bémols, ou plutôt des petites suggestions d’amélioration pour un séjour absolument parfait! : - On aurait préféré payer des frais de ménage plutôt que d’arriver dans l’appartement moyennement nettoyé par les précédents locataires… même s’il est proposé de « faire appel à une agence de ménage » en cas de ménage insuffisant, encore faut il en trouver une et quand on arrive un samedi soir ce n’est pas très adapté. - il n’y avait pas de cafetière. - une latte du lit double est cassée et le lit grince pas mal. C’était au total un très bon séjour, merci beaucoup !

Great location.. Logistics hmm.

Great location right on the slopes of Val Thrence (don't let the name of the listing full you), near the "main street" in town. 5 min from the 2 main stores. Building is well maintained. Place is warm (aside from the sun room at nite). The place is nice, functunal, and has most things one will need (incl raclette machine). Deposit return was prompt. Logistics were a bit pain in the neck though... The keys have to be mailed to you. You are responsible for producing a detailed inventory (incl. counting the little spoons.. and a number of items I've never heard of..). There are NO sheets or towels (aside from few kitchen towels) and no place that we found to rent them from. There is no internet (you can sometimes use the network of the hotel across but i would not rely on that). We also had one nite without warm water (could have been an emergency). Finally if the plan is for you to sleep in the bunk bed room and you are claustrophobic.. that may present a challenge. :) Overall we had a great stay and we thank our host for giving us the opportunity to stay at his place and enjoy the mountains.

Un séjour très sympa dans un appartement sympa et très bien placé

Nous sommes partis entre copains et nous avons passé un agréable séjour. L'appartement est très propre, bien équipé, bien exposé et surtout l'emplacement est génial. En effet à côté de tous les commerces et boutiques. Les informations du propriétaire étaient très claires. Je recommande fortement.

excellent location cosy appartment

The Eskival building is in an axcellent location right in the center, you ski right up to the ski-lockers. The building is aging a bit, and the appartment sleeps 6, but for us that would be too cramped, four would be ideal. The owner is very correct, friendly and responsive. The supermarket is very close by (Carrefour) and the assortiment as well as the prices are far better than what we were used to further down in Valtho. Parking in the P1 or P0 stations is very close by, but P1 is only 1.95 m or so, so if you have a higher car it won't fit there. You might want to reserve a parking space before you go, otherwise it could be full. Parking near the appartment for loading/unloading was very easy and convenient. Merci Richard!

Très bel espace lumineux au pied des pistes

Location bien entretenue. Situation idéale, près des commerces, poste, restaurants, magasins... Facilité pour décharger/charger la voiture au pied de l'immeuble. Le Parking P0 est à 100 m si l'on passe par la piste de ski qui "enjambe" la route. Un petit point d'amélioration serait une étagère pour poser 4 à 6 casques de ski et un porte manteaux pour les combinaisons. Si nous revenons sur Val Thorens nous contacterons de nouveau le propriétaire.
