The property is beautiful and in a lovely location, and with better maintenance and attention to guests’ needs it could easily have deserved 5/5. Unfortunately, our two-week stay was affected by several significant issues.Access is difficult during the final kilometre: the road is badly damaged, followed by a narrow bridge, steep turns and difficult manoeuvring to park, especially with a large or low car.On arrival, the house had a strong musty/mould smell, with visible moisture infiltrations on several walls. Wi-Fi did not work for the first three days. There were also many insects inside the house, including ants, centipedes, flies, bees, wasps and spiders, mainly because most windows and doors have no functioning insect screens.Cleaning was below expectations, with some kitchenware and appliances not properly cleaned. The kitchen is also poorly equipped for a property advertised for up to seven guests, The small fridge is completely inadequate for seven people. The main bedroom mattress was also uncomfortable.Several advertised facilities were missing or unusable: there is no oven, boiler or stereo, while the satellite TV was unavailable for an entire week. The air-conditioning system was particularly concerning. One of the electrical connections overheated and melted, creating a potential fire hazard. Fortunately, we noticed it in time and immediately disconnected it. An electrician arrived almost a day later. Overall, our rate is 2/5 due also to the host arrogance.
