The condo is amazing. Beautiful views of the beach and ocean from the lanai. My wife loved the cleanliness of the condo and said the kitchen was amazing. Whaler’s Village is right around the corner. My wife and daughter’s loved the shops and restaurants. I could go on and on but it was the most amazing trip and the condo was a huge part of that. From my family a huge Mahalo!

Grounds were beautiful our room was ok we had no lock on the patio sliding doors next to the elevator and the coffee maker and furniture were a little old overall not bad maybe a 6.5 out 10 Next time we will be going back to the Montage

Winter Break from School

Stayed at the Whaler many times and it never disappoints. This was one of my favorite units. Would definitely stay here again. Love the short walk to Whaler’s Village for shopping and restaurants.

Girls Trip

Property as listed with many nice amenities. View from the balcony over looking the courtyard and beach were amazing. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards provided. Within walking distance of black rock for exceptional snorkeling. Next door to Whalers Village for shopping and dining. Great experience and would rent again when in Maui!

Wonderful stay at The Whaler

The place was wonderful for our family of 4! Great location, had debated other places nearby and the proximity to Whalers Village was very appreciated during our stay. Beach section is great, easy towels process, nice refreshing pool when we needed an ocean break, plus free and easy parking which made day trips super easy. Unit is well loaded with beach supplies and kitchen items. Beds were extremely comfy except the pull out sofa, they ended up sleeping on the couch (slept very well but something to be aware of). Overall we'd gladly stay again and were sad to say goodbye.

Nice condo, clean, good view, great location

We have stayed at the Whaler before just not this specific condo. Condo was clean, well stocked, beds were comfortable, good linens and towels. Nice big lanai with a view. Would book again.

Exceptional host and rental

The vacation rental itself was fantastic. Perfect location, easy check-in, everything was clean and well stocked. I want to leave a special note for the host, who went out of his way to help make sure the rental was ready for us despite a booking error on my end. He was so understanding and accommodating - truly exceptional among the many hosts we have encountered over the years.

Amazing Location & Fantastic Condo!

Best VRBO stay we have ever had! Location is everything in Maui and this one has it all with the views on Kaanapali Beach! My family had the time of our lives and could not be happier with this property. Jim has everything you would need from beach umbrellas and chairs to bbq utensils to a washer and dryer, just like living at home! You wont be disappointed in this booking. Slept my family of 5 very well in paradise!

Perfect Maui Beach Vacation Location

This unit on the 11th floor of the south whaler tower is perfect for a peaceful Maui vacation. The rooms and deck are well organized with nice furnishings and everything you need for relaxing inside or on the beach. It’s perfectly located for all Maui activities and literally a 25 step walk to the beach. All amenities were super easy to use including the well outfitted gym. We’ll certainly stay here again for our next visit to Maui.

Beautiful Condo

We've stayed at the Whaler quite a few times and this was by far our favorite unit! Jim,the owner, has thought of pretty much everything and we really loved the little touches like dimmer switches for all of the lights! The bed was extra comfortable and we loved the high top table and chairs on the lanai, providing unobstructed views! And the views are gorgeous, with the ocean to the front and the mountains to the back! We were here celebrating our son and daughter-in-law's first Anniversary and while they had rented a condo at the Whaler as well, they thought this rental was really beautiful and well appointed! We also appreciated the washer and dryer in the unit. The location to everything Kaanapali has to offer is excellent and the beach access is perfect! We would definitely rent from Jim again!

Beautiful unit

This is a beautiful place to stay, very well appointed. Everything you need is here. The bed is very comfortable as is the couch, we did not sleep on the pull out. The kitchen has very nice pots, pans, silverware and your choice of coffee pots. Could use a Pyrex to make brownies 😁. The view is beautiful, you can see all the way to black rock. I would definitely recommend this unit to everyone. P.S. the two bathrooms are nice too!

Great Stay at The Whaler

The unit was just as described- renovated, well equipped, and a great location. The area is very convenient. A short walk to Whalers Village and short drive to Lahaina. The pool is nice but gets crowded. The fitness room was adequate. The only down-side is the parking garage gets crowded at night and we had to park by the tennis courts which wasn't ideal. Otherwise a great place to stay and make your home base on Maui.

Amazing rental!

Really expected the online to be overstated but was sooo wrong! This rental was perfect for our family. The check in was easy, the grounds were immaculate, and our condo was exactly as described. The view was awesome. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for our “stuff”. We would DEFINITELY stay here again! (One caveat- both tubs are deep. It might be hard for someone less mobile to get in/out and would be tough to kneel and bathe a small child. Was no problem for us but worth saying out loud since I tend to read everything I can before renting). Again we rented in this particular spot bc of the location. We would go back for the condo/grounds etc. It was truly so magical! Plus the location is amazing with the boardwalk, beach, black rock snorkeling, shopping, restaurants——I could go on and on. Don’t hesitate. This place is super!!!

First-Rate Place

Gorgeous condo. Gorgeous views from the lanai. We are no strangers to VRBO stays, and this property is the best we've ever stayed in. A big claim, I know, but the owner, Jim, has made sure it's a first-class experience: fully-outfitted kitchen; everything new and in sparkling condition; beautiful furnishings; beach gear ... even plush towels in the bathrooms. Unlike other VRBO owners who overlook the small details and little amenities--an annoying black mark for us--not Jim! It was a real joy to stay here.
