Great location. Easy golf cart ride to the beach. A handful of restaurants are a walkable distance. The pool is very private. Plenty of outdoor space in the pool area.

Loved the space and the poolBeds needs better mattresses.Reair people never returned to fix the tvs upstairs and master bedroom. Disappointed Wifi was awful - had to use our hot spot Repairman did replace the annoying sound of a low battery on the glass door going out to the pool

I’ve had better for cheaper

This is not our first rodeo with the neighborhood. This house looks wonderful in the pictures and is beautiful inside. I love the floor plan. It’s just obvious that there is wear and tear. 1.) Found two roaches as I was eating breakfast. They came in from the sliding doors. Not a big deal but sorta is. They said they sprayed after I called. Could have been better communication so I knew they had been there while we were gone. Feeling reassured matters. 2.) We had to fill the pool due to a small leak. The maintenance man just showed up out of nowhere and started filling the pool. That’s how we found out. There was a leak. 3.) the dryer was a hit or miss on drying the clothes. I usually had to run it twice, and the loads were not extremely large.4.) one of the golf carts breaks not the best. My husband and myself on two different occasions without communicating realized that both of us had experienced not being able to stop completely when backing out of the driveway with oncoming traffic.Maintenance did come by, but they said he felt like the brakes were fine that it was just a different style of golf cart. I’ve drove many golf carts and this is the only one I’ve had that experience with.5.) the downstairs master bath had very cool water for the showers. I had to call maintenance and they came by and realized the water heater needed to be replaced. The day we were packing up to leave they came by and replaced it. Glad we could supply a hot shower for the next family

The laminate (hardwood) floors are peeling and split in many places. The sliding doors are all so old that they struggle to slide. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms are old and some hang on hinges. The tv in the loft room did not operate and we waited for it to be replaced and never was. The pool is nice and large and was warm as promised yet the lounge furniture by the pool is not comfortable. The grill was dirty and we did not use it. The golf carts are older but operate fine. The management company was responsive and helpful every time we needed them.

Nice but needs maintenance

The house is very nice and just as pictured. However the amenities need maintenance or upgrading. The golf carts provided are very used and one barely had brakes. The bicycles also need work! The garage door is very close to breaking and we were thankful it didn’t while we stayed. The grill also needs to be replaced. Overall we had a nice stay and it is in good proximity to beaches and all Destin has to offer!

Everything was great except the beds

Everything was as it should be at the house. It was very nice and clean. Our only complaint were the mattresses in each bedroom. The mattress in the downstairs master was too firm for us and it slanted where your feet were a little higher than your head. Also, the left side of the mattress appeared to be quite worn as is slept much lower than the right side; almost like in a hole. I don't know the specifics of the other two beds in the other two bedrooms - I was just told they were not comfortable.

Loved the pool in the neighborhood which we used several times as the pool at the house had been heated by mistake and took several days to cool down. The temps were in the 90’s so a heated pool was not appealing!! Rooms were large and lots of beds for everyone. Three full baths were beneficial along with the first floor powder room. Also laundry room great to have. Kitchen is spacious and has good appliances. Furniture in the great room and around the wonderful, large table need to be replaced. They are very worn down. The carpeting is also in need of being replaced. Second floor gets warm, but box fans and ceiling fans are helpful. We had very few issues, but when we did, Glass Casa folks were quick to reply and very helpful. The folks they sent out were attentive and friendly. Great experience!

Destin 2023

The house was great. Plenty of room for the family of 13. We really enjoyed our stay. Only negative thing about the house was the upstairs was alot warmer while down stair was cooler. Made sleeping a little uncomfortable. Loved having the golf carts to use, but the brakes were not the greatest, big safety concern. Golf carts made it easy and convenient to get to the ocean/public access but limited parking and you shared parking with the restaurant. I definitely would not walk to the beach. That would be to far. The destiny east pool was big but the water was pretty warm. Felt like you were in a hot tub. Usually you swim to cool off because its so hot outside. Same for the pool at the house.

Our First Trip to Destin, Florida

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay at the Goldfinch house in Destiny East. For some reason we did not recieve our contract to sign until the evening before we were to leave. In contacting your office we received excellent service from Priscilla who got this matter handled before we left. Also, I would like to compliment Jamie and Christy for all of their help. We did have issues with the pool and had to dall the maintenace line two times. They were very responsive and corrected the "flow' issue. Pool would not heat until it was back washed. There was an issue with locating the proper TV remotes but maintenance arrived and solved that problem. We loved having access to the golf carts and bikes. All were in working condition. There was a driver's mirror missing on one of the golf carts but the cart worked fine. For this size home it would have been nice to have a separate icemaker. We had 8 in our party and we had to go purchase ice several times. Also, when we tried to use the grill, the propane tank was empty. However, Priscilla advised us to send her the receipt for a refil which we did. The property overall was in good condition. There is some deep cleaning that needs to be done at the bottom of the sliding glass doors going to the pool and there is grass growing up through the pavers at one end of the pool. The door from the garage going into the house needs painting very badly and the garage itself needs to be cleaned up.

Great location

This property is located close to beach, great restaurants and close to all shopping and activities. House needs some TLC. Back door by outdoor pool was broken, sofas and mattresses need replacing, went to use outdoor grill and found there was no propane for the grill. Otherwise this property has everything. I would definitely recommend it.

Goldfinch - Destiny East

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 10 had a wonderful vacation. The location, house layout and Destiny East facilities were great. The Goldfinch property had some issues:1. Destiny East gate code expired. We were given March code, but arrived April 2.2. Golf cart had bald tires and no seat belts. Tire went flat and required Uber ride back. Replacement cart rental was cumbersome and took over 1.5 hours for paperwork.3. Overhead garage door would not close. Bottom reinforcement channel had several loose bolts at 2 connections warping door alignment.4. Low water level in swimming pool was resolved by maintenance. Water level then too high before timer shutoff. Significant water leak at hose connection after timer shut off so I closed valve.5. Bike tire pressures were very low; air pump in garage not functional.6. House needs updates: stained carpets, damaged couches, unstable dining room chairs.7. Some kitchen items should be replaced (pans.)8. Two chairs pool deck furniture was broken.
