Beautiful View

Lovely location. Renters should be aware that there are over 20 stairs to climb to the villa. The property manager Veronika was terrific. Very responsive to all questions and issues.

Caribbean Charm

We had a very enjoyable stay at villa PAPAYA. The Villa is located in a gated community, which provided security and privacy. Although within walking distance to a nearby beach, the villa is set up the hill, providing excellent ocean views, sounds and breeze. The spacious private backyard and pool area made for great relaxing afternoons and morning coffee. Anyone looking for a quiet villa with privacy and great views, we would recommend staying at villa PAPAYA.

Très bel emplacement

Véronika est une hôte parfaite, vous ne manquez pas d’information, sympathique, pas besoin d’en rajouter……merci Si vous aimez le son des vagues et les bienfaits de la piscine c’est fait pour vous, la situation géographique semble éloignée mais tout est proche pour passer des Belles vacances.ps: les lits sont confortables

Vacances ressourçantes

Excellent sejour avec de nombreuses visites a faire, de jolies plages une eau limpide et chaude. Le temps a ete tres agreable la vue depuis la villa sur le lagon tous les matins en preparant le petit dejeuner est le debut de journee paradisiaque. Nous avons ete réorienté vers cette villa car notre premiere reservation a ete annulee, nous ne regrettons pas,merci a Abritel pour la mobilisation pour nous avoir trouve cette solution de repli.

Situation idéale

Très belle propriété située dans un environnement calme et reposant. Proche de la mer. La description de la location correspond parfaitement aux lieux. Petit bémol quant à la réserve d'eau en cas de coupure (régulière en guadeloupe). La capacité de la citerne de réserve (1200 litres) est courte pour 5 personnes. Il serait tout à fait possible de mettre une citerne plus grande avec filtrage pour traiter l'eau stagnante. Hormis ce petit soucis, tout était parfait

Veronika was very welcoming and helpful. The house was all we imagined and more. Location was great.

We were a party of 5 and the house was a perfect size. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The outside space was great for breakfast and evening dinners. We never got bored of the beautiful view!

Excellent séjour

Deuxième visite en Guadeloupe dans le complexe Iguana Bay, villa Papaye à l’Anse à la Gourde. Encore une fois endroit magnifique et la villa est des plus fonctionnelle. À proximité des plages et du village de St-François où on trouve toutes les commodités. Merci à Veronika encore une fois pour son excellente prestation!

Des vacances dans un cadre paradisiaque

La villa Papaye est très agréable, conforme à la description. La vue est tout simplement exceptionnelle, on entend le bruit de l'océan de la terrasse. La résidence est sécurisée, à proximité de plages magnifiques et à l'écart de l'agitation de St François. L’accueil par Véronika est parfait, nous avons profité de ses bons conseils pour visiter la région, déguster des produits locaux,... Une seule critique : la vétusté des salles de bain. Il faudrait vraiment les refaire !

Beautiful island home with perfect sea view!

Such a wonderful getaway! My family and I booked Papaya Villa for a one week vacation in February of 2018. The home is very true to the photos and description. Veronika was wonderful! We wished we could stay longer! We are from the US (New York) so my review is from an American perspective. A few notes: The beds are very comfortable, especially for the Caribbean. The air conditioning works well. We slept a few nights with only the windows open and a few nights with the AC. Veronika mentioned the breaker can trip if too many things are running on the electricity but we did not have any issues. The home is clean, neat and tidy. The appliances are all in good working condition; dish washer, coffee machine, microwave, stove/oven and wash machine. The house had everything we needed for cooking. We enjoyed most of our meals at the house, dining at the table on the outdoor patio. The pool is on the smaller side but great for cooling off and splashing around. I think it is a salt water pool which felt much nicer than a heavily chlorinated pool. The house is located in a little development called, "Iguana Bay". The entrance is located down a short dirt road with lots of pot holes. It's not a big deal and most the roads on the island are in great condition but just an fyi. The development entrance has an electric gate with a pass code. Once through the gate, the house is located up on a hill so the drive is a bit steep and narrow but not a problem as most cars are on the smaller side and plenty of parking. There is a set of steps to climb to reach the house from the parking. The neighboring houses are fairly close but the landscaping preserves privacy. The beach is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the house. You walk down the steps, down the entrance drive, out the gate and then on a path through the vegetation to reach the beach. I hope someday to return and definitely recommend the house! I have a few suggestions for improvement but they are small details: New pillows on the beds would be nice. Some were flat or lumpy. Beach towels would be nice. We brought our own but would be nice not to have to pack. The internet could be improved. There is internet but it is quite slow and can only support one user at a time. Just enough for checking some emails but not much more. Note: Americans- there is a charcoal grill. The charcoal is natural and takes a an hour or two to heat up hot enough to grill on. We did not see lighter fluid or instant light briquets.

Great two weeks

We loved the house, pool and grounds. We knew that there would be only French TV, however the internet connection was very slow for the first week. The second week it worked much better. Veronika was absolutely the best! Our flight was delayed by 8 hours, when we arrived at the Villa at 03:00 she was there to welcome us. She checked on use 3 or 4 times and always exceeded our expectations. We went to several beaches close by and also spent some days relaxing at the pool. Dinner in Saint Francois most evenings, breakfast and lunch at the Villa. There is a new charcoal grill we used several times.

Nous venons de passer dix jours là. Une magnifique expérience, merci à Veronika qui s’est occupée de tout. Elle nous a aidé à trouver les plus belles plages et des endroits touristiques très intéressants, elle était toujours disponible et très professionnelle. Une vue sur la mer inoubliable, la plage très proche de la villa (notre plage était l’une des meilleures), une atmosphère vraiment exotique. En ce qui concerne les chambres, elles sont assez spacieuses, la cuisine est très bien équipée, la salle de séjour est confortable, tout ce que vous imaginez pour un excellent séjour avec votre famille. Seulement une petite recommandation, si possible, il serait bien de rénover les salles de bains un peu, mais en général, la villa est dans une très bonne condition. Merci à Veronika encore une fois de nous avoir montré l’un des paradis de GUADELOUPE.

Magnifique expérience!

Nous venons de passer un séjour absolument magique dans cette villa qui a une vue magnifique sur la mer! L'accès à la plage en contre bas est un pur bonheur : anse à la gourde est une plage sauvage et très peu fréquentée ! L'accueil par Veronika fut très professionnel et chaleureux ! La maison était propre et avec un bon confort ainsi qu' une bonne literie. Un petit rafraîchissement au niveau des peintures ferait de cet endroit un paradis! Nous avons très envie d'y revenir!!!

excellent séjour à la villa Papaye

Nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour à la villa Papaye. la vue sur la mer est magnifique, c'est un spectacle permanent et on se se lasse pas d'entendre le bruit de la mer. la villa est située sur la côte Atlantique, dans un environnement sauvage et préservée . christmas in paradise

Beautifull view, peace and quiet, spacious and comfortable villa, perfectly furnished, kids loves to have breakfast in a kitchen bar and we liked to cook with such a view, cristmas tree from palm tree leaf, beautifull not crowded beaches near the house, after swimming in ocean jump to the pool, great idea - outside shower, but the real treasure was Veronika - very nice, helpfull, dealing all our problems, helping us to buy a tickets, gives us advice about interesting places on a island, excursions, food, markets, weather forcast, life in Guadeloupe; we dont speak french so she was our translator. Guadeloupe is perfect place for holiday for Eupeans - same currency, same legislation, easy access by plain, no dangerous animals or insects, baby friendly, easy living! Hope be back soon!

Superbe villa

Tout pour passer un merveilleux séjour...La vue est à couper le souffle que vous soyez sur la terrasse à déguster un ti 'punch ou à vous prélasser sur un transat autour de la piscine sous les cocotiers!!! La villa est très spacieuse,les 3 chambres possèdent chacune une salle de bain et toilettes, les lits sont de très grand confort(King size pour l'une,160 pour l'autre et lits jumeaux pour la 3ème) de plus décorées avec beaucoup de goût. La cuisine est très bien équipée ,quant à la propreté irréprochable. Bref vous l'avez compris nous avons partagé d'excellentes vacances dans ce lieu paradisiaque...allez y les yeux fermés!!!
