The house was very clean and accurately described in the listing. We appreciated that all the bedding and towels were included and of high quality. We thought the location was perfect for exploring the greater Rhode Island area. Not far from central Newport and easy travels to Providence and outlying areas. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Lovely home on a quiet street; the neighborhood is very walkable. Do be aware that there are stairs up to the bedrooms that could be difficult for some to navigate and the only bathroom is downstairs. We very much enjoyed looking out at the water from the front room. Mike was a friendly, communicative host - it’s obvious that he loves the area and takes pride in what it has to offer. The house met our needs just perfectly to use as a base for exploring the area

The host was very accommodating. Cottage layout was a bit quirky. Unfortunately, it was abit too chilly to use the patio and grill in the backyard; but, it did look very nice.I would come back again during the warmer months. I was enthralled with the location and the view from the front is spectacular.

Family Vacation

Very cute area. Wonderful for kids! A short walk down the street to a playground and 10 min walk or 2 min drive to a small local beach that you can bring dogs as well.

My teens and I had a peaceful and relaxing visit. The space was as described. I did discover the large mattresses were both very soft, so if you need back support, the twins are much more firm. The back yard is perfect for cooking out and family dinner. My teens loved being able to take a boat out, and we discovered walking trails nearby perfect for walking the dog. There are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Grafik coffee is excellent and it was also a quick drive to Newport. All in all a very enjoyable stay at a much needed time in our life.

Amazing location and stay!

The cottage was perfect! It was so clean, spacious, and equipped with everything that you could need. The water view was amazing, large deck and inside areas, and to have parking, priceless!

Great house and location

This VRBO in Portsmouth was the perfect location! Tons of things to do in a very close proximity. Very friendly neighborhood, coffee shops, and markets. Walkable to the beach and coffee shops. Mike was a great host and very quick to respond via email/text. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area!

The property is just as described, very clean, spacious, and equipped with anything you’ll need to prepare meals. Beautiful location, short walk to a great beach all at a very reasonable price. This was the third time we rented this property and are looking forward to doing so again.

Short RI Stay

This cottage was perfect for our stay for a swim meet held at Brown. It was exactly as described with great communication - check in was easy and we were able to check out later making it much less stressful. Would love to return in the warmer months! Thank you!

This home is a true find.

It's priced lower than most, has a terrific view, and rests in the most quiet far inner corner of the neighborhood. There are many areas in the home where one can sit, relax, or read in private . All household essentials are provided. The quality of beds, linen, utensils, furniture is solid.

The set up is child friendly. There are no delicate items, or knickknacks to worry about. Cleaning products, sharp items are not easily accessible by a child. The stairs are padded carpet with a sturdy railing. Baby gates available upon request.

The host will procure any special amenities needed and is available 24 - 7.
