We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful part of France. Jean-Francois and Christian were the most welcoming hosts to their home, which was fabulous inside and out. The local village had plenty of amenities, with lots to do locally and further afield. I would highly recommend this as a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday location.

We were early to the villa but were met by Christian & Jean Francois who had made sure the villa was ready for our arrival. It was really well equipped & very comfortable. The pool area was amazing, with a big pool & plenty of sun beds. The pool was very much appreciated as there was a heatwave in our second week. The fridge by the pool was also very welcome!The early risers in our party saw Christian most mornings while he watered the plants & topped up the pool. He was very friendly & gave us several good recommendations for walks in the area, local restaurants & provided our daughter with public transport details to get her to the airport. He even took two of us on a trip to see his olive grove & an ancient tomb in the hills - a fun trip!It was a beautiful area and the village had all the amenities needed - a bakery (with Didi the dog), fruit & veg shop (the peaches & nectarines were gorgeous), butchers, spar, wine shop & several bars & restaurants. I would highly recommend this villa. We felt very comfortable & welcome. Thank you!

Villeneuve- Minervois house

Lovely welcoming hosts and the house was wonderfully cool in the very hot weather. The pool was amazing - probably the best we’ve had in a villa rental. The town is charming and there’s lots to do in the surrounding area - thank you for a super holiday.

Superbe séjour

Très belle maison, dans un cadre splendide et une très grande piscine. Très belle rencontre avec Christian, le propriétaire, très accueillant, qui a tout fait pour nous rendre le séjour facile et agréable. Le village de Villeneuve Minervois est resté très authentique et animé avec petits commerces de proximité et fêtes de village. Un beau lieu pour des vacances magnifiques !

Sehr freundliche, herzliche Gastgeber. Kleine Probleme wurden umgehend gelöst. Großartiger Aussenbeteich inklusive Pool. Gediegene Innneneinrichtung, am zweiten Bad könnte noch gearbeitet werden.

Wonderful village retreat

We loved this house, garden and pool set on the edge of a very friendly village. The host is very amenable and always replies promptly, the house is well equipped, comfortable and the pool was a godsend during the hot sunny week. The village is well located near to carcassonne and a visit to the gouffre geant cave is spectacular. The villagers are welcoming and friendly and we used the boulangerie (we tried the daily special often) and green grocer most days. The cafe also serves a great pizza and steak. Would highly recommend this property to stay in

Great stay in the Minervois

The house is an amazing old property full of character and has everything you need if you want to visit this area. Pool and outside area are great. Nice village with a small shop, boulongerie, bar and pizza restaurant

A great place with an amazing outdoor space

We had the most amazing time at this VRBO house in the French countryside. The outdoor space was pure bliss, with a fantastic pool and a serene garden that offered a perfect escape. Inside, the house exuded old world charm with its rustic decor, antique furniture, and cozy ambiance. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the well-equipped kitchen allowed us to enjoy local cuisine. The location was ideal for exploring the region, and the hosts were attentive and welcoming. If you're looking for a magical French getaway, this place is a must-visit!

Absolutely brilliant

Fantastic house with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely large pool with plenty of outdoor space. Christian was super helpful as was his charming Dad, Jean Louis who lives next door. Village location great with couple of restaurants and a boulangerie & other shops with everything you need. We had a minor problem with the dryer which was replaced immediately- very impressive. We shall return

Highly recommend

We had an amazing time here. Christian is a very good host. He is very knowledgable about the area and recommended lots of things to do. It is a 2 minute walk to the bakers and cafe for coffee and pastries in the morning. The Bistro also serves food. The house is clean and well equipped with a beautiful garden and large pool.

Lovely home with amazing pool

We stayed here with 4 adults and had a great time. The pool is absolutely lovely, a lot bigger than we thought and the decoration is lovely as well, very warm and cozy. The small village is beautiful, where you can walk to the boulangerie for fresh bread and croissants every morning. The area is great: Carcassonne, visiting wineries and other villages, etc.

Propriété extrêmement confortable

Meubles anciens, décoration soignée et lumières tamisées composent une atmosphère chaleureuse où l’on se sent plus invités que locataires. L’accueil de MM MAURY fait le reste ! Plein d’idées de balades, de tuyaux pour les petits restos et les commerces à recommander, et voici un endroit où l’on a hâte de revenir ! La région est pleine de ressources et gagne vraiment à être découverte.

Tres chaleureuse maison de vacances

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour de deux semaines dans cette charmante villa très confortable, joliment décorée,avec une grande piscine. Il faut ajouter l'accueil chaleureux des propriétaires. Une grande disponibilité et gentillesse de Christian et de son papa Jean-Louis pour fournir les bons plans balade et gastronomie de la région ainsi que des légumes frais du potager. La maison est très bien située pour rayonner dans toute la région. Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir loué une troisième semaine.

My other Home is in France!

Absolutely loved our stay! The home felt just like that...A home! Beautifully appointed with a true French feel! The village was lovely, with everything you need. It was conveniently located to other towns for day trips! Minutes to towns along the Canal du Midi as well as the Medieval Fortress of Carcassonne. We thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with Christians father, thank goodness for google translate! He was always available to assist! As for the high lights that drew us to the property...The pool and the grill were well used! We would highly recommend a stay here!

Excellent Property in a lovely village

Superb house with a lovely big pool. Christian and his father made us feel really at home and gave us some great recommendations for wine and eating out. The village has two good restaurants and we particularly liked the Auberge de la Clamoux. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Holiday

We have just spent ten days in this amazing property in a beautiful part of the country. The setting is wonderful and relaxing with restaurants in walking distance. Christian was a wonderful host and waited for us to arrive, as we were delayed. The house was immaculate and all the little extras were appreciated. The house is in a great area to visit lots of different places, Carcassonne, Narbonne-Plage, Caunes-Minervois and Château Canet wineries to name but a few. We would definitely revisit in the near future.

Lovely quiet location, friendly village , great pool

We stayed for a couple of weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our time at villeneuve-minervois. The house is a nice place to be with enough room inside that you aren’t reliant on the weather. The centrepiece is really the pool and various outdoor seating areas which make for an abundantly lovely place to relax and enjoy life. The surrounding area is strewn with gorgeous vineyards and scenery that make any trip out thoroughly worthwhile. The house is well equipped throughout and we couldn’t really have wanted for more

La maison est très agréable, bien meublée dans le style régional, fonctionnelle et bien équipée. Le jardin est aménagé avec goût. Il y a plusieurs salons extérieurs et un endroit pour les repas à l'abri du vent et du soleil. Barbecue gigantesque 😎 La piscine est grandiose. L'accueil formidable. Une bonne boulangerie et une supérette dans le village facilitent l'approvisionnement. Les charcuteries et viandes de chez Iché à Caunes nous ont régalé ainsi que bien entendu le fameux Costos Roussos de la cave Caunes-Trausse... Que demander de plus? Vacances familiales parfaitement réussies. Merci à la famille Maury particulièrement chaleureuse et attentive. Nous reviendrons.
