We had an 18 day holiday and this was by far our favorite home to stay in! The home is lovely with her easy parking, the location is so gloriously beautiful and perfect, and the hosts were very sweet and made us feel right at home. We wished we could've stayed a lot longer!

The views from this cottage are fantastic! Hosts friendly, the area is idyllic. It’s in, as you would expect from the location, in a quiet spot, but there are many places to go if you have your own transport.

If I could give more than 5 stars i would! The communication was fantastic I would get a response within a couple of hours. Then when we arrived at the house it was more than we could have asked for, the view was so gorgeous we couldn't even speak. John of course stopped by and made sure we were all settled in and there was anything else he could do to make our stay better. John evern got a fishing trip ready for us and even though we didn't catch anything it was amazing. We were sad to leave but we definitely will be back!

This is such a wonderful place! The house is well-equipped and spotlessly clean, and in a quiet location next to the sea with a large garden.Mairead, the owner, was very helpful and kind as well.We wouldn't hesitate to come back again, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Absolutely adored this house! John and his wife were so kind to us and helped us with a laundry situation in a pinch. The property was so serene, quiet and authentic. We were a family of 6 and everyone was comfortable. Thank you for a great stay!

The house can easily accommodate a large family with lots of rooms, space and parking. Just two of us and we felt very welcomed. A peaceful location, beautiful views and we enjoyed the experience of a peat fire.

Absolutely loved staying in the beautiful home. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the towns, but close enough for a short drive for groceries, fuel, pints, food, etc...John checked in on us while we were staying to make sure we were having a great time. 100% would recommend and consider staying if we ever make it back to the West Coast of Ireland!

This charming home was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. The location is ideal if you are looking for calm and quiet with absolutely gorgeous views. It was an easy drive to everything we wanted to do in the Connemara region, from Kylemore Abbey to Cleggan to hop on a boat to Inishbofin. The home is very well appointed with everything you need to be comfortable, including cookery, laundry, and even a few toys in the hutch that our son kept himself occupied with after a day of exploring. 10/10 recommend!

Great Stay

Had a great time at the house. Hosts were attentive to needs and we had a very comfortable stay. Lots of room to move around and plenty to see in the area.

John and Mairead were wonderful hosts. They had the fire set ready for us and made sure everything was ready for our arrival after a long drive. The house itself is fantastic, with stunning views in every direction, even in a cold and wet February. We travelled out to various landmarks (Kylemore Abbey, the bridge from "The Quiet Man") and towns, where although it was off-season, there was still plenty to see and do. We will hopefully be back in the summer months.

Amazing hospitality. Something with the heat needed to be replaced and it was done right away. They were incredibly kind. I’m not sure I will go that far west again as it’s so far from things; however, I would recommend to anyone and everyone with kindness. The property is well maintained, clean and roomy. The only negative thing I can come up with is that the living room is very small with all the furniture but that is the only negative thing I could say and that’s more of just my opinion. Check them out and enjoy the area. It’s breathtaking especially at sunset.

Stunning location

The location is unbeatable, the views of both the sea and mountains can’t be emphasised enough. We had great weather and were able to sit out each day and just enjoy the view and the peace and quiet. The hosts were so friendly and knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting information.
