Great house, great location, great communication with owner.The house and pool were spotless clean; the location is great, not far from Punto de Lima and all its wonderful cafes, restaurant and sights.Wed definitely stay again if we return to this area.

We had a lovely despite the weather. Hoyse and gardens are spacious. The pool is an added bonus. You do need a car to explore the area and get to places. Food in the recommended restaurants were very good.

Everything was as described. Lovely property and well equipped As good as any we have stayed at, in fact, better.We are probably coming back next year- there is plenty to explore in this part of Portugal. The local town, Ponte de Lima, is beautiful with great walks by the river. Five stars!

In place to rest on your journey in Portugal

After traveling for two and a half weeks through Portugal and Spain it was a wonderful respite to stay in this darling casa. It was comfortable and accommodating with beautiful views, lovely walks around the neighborhood and only 20 minutes to town.

Perfect week of peace in a longer Spain/ Portugal tour

The villa was beautiful inside and out. The grounds were extensive and the pool a good size for a swim. The interior decoration was beautiful and gave a real home from home feel. Very conveniently located for visiting the beaches and we often popped into Ponte de Lima for dinner. The sunsets were amazing and we spent several days just relaxing by the pool. Bliss.

Just Fabulous

Beautiful property with lovely views with everything you could possibly need catered for. The swimming pool was always inviting and Sofia was always at hand when needed. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get away from it all but still within a short drive from the lovely town of Ponte de Lima and also only half hour drive from the likes of Braga and 40 minutes from Porto which were all worth a visit.

Charming house

Tastefully decorated house in a well maintained garden with fruit trees and a clean swimming pool. Unfortunately you can hear the traffic noise from the national road and the motorway.

A glimpse of Portugal past

If you like a little history, and what I presume is traditional Portuguese construction, this is the place. It is a delightful example of the reuse of the past. Extremely well laid out and presented. I consider it more secluded than isolated. A lovely house in a lovely part of Portugal.

What a wonderful property, a perfect private getaway.

Beautiful villa with well maintained gardens and swimming pool. Having the charm of a traditional style property combined with modern amenities. Situated in an excellent position to explore the surrounding area. Would highly recommend the local restaurant - "Casa Antigua" for friendly service and good food. Faultless communication with Sofia, the owner, throughout the booking process and during our stay. All this made for a happy and memorable holiday. Would definitely return.

A wonderful house in a beautiful setting

This house is in a perfect setting on the outskirts of Ponte De Lima. It is easy to get to, has links all around the North of Portugal with nothing more than 1 hr away. Our host, Sofia, was brilliant as she provided easy communication before and during our stay. This property is the perfect get away wether you want to chill in the garden by the pool or relax in the property reading or chilling. I highly recommend this property and would love to return some day to explore Portugal further.

Beautiful enviroment

It was lovely, the house was charming. The bed was very comfortable and the house had everything you would need. The kitchen was also very well equipped. The outside space was beautiful (pool and grounds very well maintained, it was a pleasure to spend time there.) Also lots of beautiful fruit trees. The far reaching views added to the charm, great sunsets! There was a nearby church which whilst we could not really see it had beautiful bells which would ring with a lovely tune every 3 hours - we looked forward to that! Good accessibility to everything you would want to do in the area and the nearby beaches were fantastic. Would book again.

A wonderful stay in a cute house in northern Portugal

Our stay in this cute house in Portugal was truly fantastic. The house turned out to be much roomier than the photos suggested, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the stunning view over the valley every day, which gave us a sense of peace and space. The privacy that the house offers is unparalleled; we felt completely secluded and free. The house is tastefully decorated, showing attention to detail and comfort. It is situated in a beautiful location, close to supermarkets and a charming town where we often went for a coffee or a delicious meal. The amenities in the house left nothing to be desired; it was truly equipped with all conveniences. Thanks to the well-insulated design, the house remained cool even without air conditioning. The lovely garden with fruit trees was a delightful place to relax, and the pool was an absolute highlight – clean and perfect for a refreshing dip on warm days. Every evening, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset with a drink on the terrace. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, which immediately made us feel at home. The good WiFi ensured that we could easily stay in touch with home, watch Netflix and get some work done if needed. All in all, our stay in this house was fantastic. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a combination of comfort, tranquility, and natural beauty in northern Portugal. We fell in love with the place and we're already looking forward to returning!

O jardim é absolutamente maravilhoso, a casa pequena mas perfeita para 3 a 4 pessoas. A limpeza estava ok mas podia estar melhor, algum pó. O lixo não foi recolhido nenhuma vez nos 5 dias que lá estivemos e acabou por ter de ficar fora do caixote nos últimos dias. A comunicação com a proprietária também tem espaço para melhoria, parecia desconfiar do numero de pessoas na propriedade porque pedimos lençóis para o sofá de cama e mais toalhas porque precisávamos para o cabelo. O ponto menos positivo foi mesmo a Sra. que cuidava da propriedade ter entrado diretamente na casa estando eu a vestir-me com a porta da casa de banho aberta, isto porque não ouvimos chamar de fora, era preferível ter ligado antes de invadir a nossa privacidade.

Urlaub Nordportugal

Wir haben einen erholsamen Urlaub in dem sehr gemütlichen Ferienhaus verbringen dürfen. Das Haus liegt in der Nähe der Autobahn, was sehr vorteilhaft ist, wenn man die umliegenden Orte mit ihren schönen Altstädten erkunden will. Für zwei Personen ist das Ferienhaus hervorragend geeignet. Wer Ruhe und private Athmosphäre in einer grünen Umgebung schätzt, ist hier genau richtig. Der Pool ist zum Schwimmen sehr gut geeignet. Vielen Dank an Sofia und Isabel für die angenehme Betreuung vor Ort.

La casa está completamente equipada, muy limpia y confortable. La zona del jardin y la piscina con unas vistas magnificas, sobre todo en la puerta de sol. Idealmente situada para visitar preciosas localidades como Braga, Guimarães, Porto, Barcelos... La propietaria, muy atenta, aunque no pudo recibirnos personalmente, quiso darnos la bienvenida por teléfono nada más llegar. Una semana perfecta en un lugar excelente

Ein wunderschöner Platz zum Entspannen

Schon die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin Sofia während der Buchung bis zur Ankunft / Abreise war hervorragend. Der Anblick des Hauses und Pools ist einfach grandios, alles ist sehr gepflegt. Hier ist man wirklich privat, kein Nachbar nebenan, nur umgeben von vielen alten Obst- und Maronenbäumen, Natur pur. Das Haus ist liebevoll mit alten Möbeln eingerichtet, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Eine Bäckerei und kleiner Supermarkt sind in 2 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen, für größere Einkäufe ist Ponte de Luca nur 11 km entfernt. Die Lage des Hauses ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Berge, an die Küste oder eine der vielen sehenswerten kleinen Städtchen im Umkreis. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, den super sauberen Pool genossen und schon angefragt ob wir nächstes Jahr wiederkommen können. Vielen Dank Sofia und Tomas

Very relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in this well-kept, nicely furnished old house with spacious garden. Everything we needed was there, two bathrooms are always convenient, the pool was big enough and cleaned regularly. It takes a while to get to the sea from Queijada, which we knew beforehand, the nearby natural park is easily accessible by car, as are the beaches of Viana/Afife and the town of Braga. Supermarkets and restaurants are a few miles away in Ponte de Lima; there is a very good (and somewhat more expensive) restaurant five minutes drive away from the house. The friendly caretaker lady waited for our late arrival due to flight delays, which was very welcome. It's less than an hour's drive from Porto on the toll highway which runs nearby, a little bit longer if you use toll-free roads. The second bedroom is rather small, but still ok for children or a single person. Highly recommended for everyone who is looking for peace and quiet , very friendly and helpful hostess.

Site exceptionnel mais la maison mériterait quelques aménagements pour donner entière satisfaction

Site exceptionnel mais la maison aurait mérité un "nettoyage de printemps" avant notre arrivée, quelques travaux pour remédier à l'humidité +++++ du sol dans le salon ( dans les conditions actuelles je déconseille aux personnes allergiques et asthmatiques) et aussi un changement de gazinière dans la cuisine dont les boutons ne fonctionnent pas correctement (je vous conseille de fermer systématiquement le robinet d'arrivée du gaz dans la cuisine). A noter aussi, si vous avez des enfants : la chambre n°2 est très très très petite pour deux enfants (pas un problème pour nous car nous étions en couple sans enfant). Malgré cela nous avons passé un bon séjour car le site est vraiment très agréable et la météo nous a malgré tout permis d'aérer au maximum la maison. La maison contient vaisselles et ustensiles de cuisine plus qu'il n'en faut ainsi que le nécessaire pour le lave vaisselle et le lave linge. Pains frais et viennoiseries à quelques minutes à pied. Supermarchés à quelques minutes en voiture. Si la propriétaire effectue les travaux nécessaires afin de remédier à l'humidité du sol dans le salon et change de gazinière nous y reviendrons régulièrement.

Wonderful Stone Cottage

Gorgeous stone cottage, very clean and was a lot more spacious that I had originally imagined. Fully equipped with all necessary furniture and fixtures. Beautiful secluded garden & private pool, which you can walk out to from the patio, this was amazing. My husband and myself spent 6 nights here, and loved every moment of it. Ponte de Lima very close. Gorgeous village and fantastic surroundings for sightseeing (car is recommended). Cafe 2 mins walk and a lovely restaurant close by. The owner was extremely friendly and hospitable…. and just a phone call away - she always provided immediate help & support if needed. Overall, we had a wonderful time here and I would highly recommend it to others.
