Godenano di Mezzo is an ancient farm located in the heart of the Castellina in Chianti countryside, in the cradle of the Sienese Chianti Classico, one of the most beautiful areas of the splendid Tuscan countryside.
Godenano di Mezzo is only a 10/15 minute walk from the historic center of Castellina in Chianti, where you can find everything you need to make your holiday complete, shops, supermarkets, bars, pizzerias, restaurants and wine bars.
Our swimming pool is ideal for relaxing, positioned to the south-west, it enjoys a splendid view of the surrounding hills and the entire Val D'Elsa.
Furthermore, a short distance from Godenano di Mezzo there are some of the most renowned and internationally renowned wineries in the area, with the possibility of tasting their exclusive products.
The entire surrounding area is suitable for an incredible food and wine holiday, with a thousand flavors and full of delicacies typical of our tradition that has made us famous throughout the world, you will spend entire days tasting the flavors of Tuscany. In conclusion, ideal geographical context. All apartments have access to the panoramic outdoor swimming pool equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and umbrellas/canopy. Furthermore, there is a barbecue in the common area and free parking available to guests.
The ground floor apartments can accommodate 2 to 4 people and have a kitchen, living room, sofa bed, private outdoor area, double bedroom, storage area, bathroom with shower, linen and wifi.
The apartment on the first floor which can accommodate 4 to 6 people and has a kitchen, living room, sofa bed, private outdoor area, 2 double bedrooms, storage area, 2 bathrooms with shower, linen, air conditioning, parking and wifi. Each apartment has the possibility of adding up to 2 beds on a comfortable sofa bed at an additional cost of €80 per night.
The additional cost for final cleaning is €50.
Prices are calculated per night for two people. The tourist tax of €2 per night per person for a maximum of 7 nights is to be paid in cash at the property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay. The apartment was charming, spotless, and part of a beautifully maintained property. The views were breathtaking, and the town itself is absolutely adorable. Each evening, we watched stunning sunsets from the pool — a perfect way to end the day.Linda was a wonderful host, offering great recommendations and even surprising us with fresh tomatoes from her garden. The location was ideal, allowing us to explore many nearby towns and enjoy fantastic restaurants. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the setting was peaceful; even with two other apartments on the property, we rarely saw anyone.This was the perfect Tuscan retreat, and we would happily return.

Relaxing stay in the tuscany

Marvelous place in the center of the Tuscany with a beautiful pool and a great view. Siena, San Gimigiano and other lovely cities are close by. The owner Linda treated us with fresh tomatoes and figs from the garden. The interior is designed with great care and everything was just fine.

Perfect stay

We stayed in La Lavanda for 8 days . The appartment was very clean and equipped with all we needed for our stay. It is very central located for visits in Siena, Florence, Vinci and San Gimignano as well as different wineyards We enjoyed the conversation with Linda and liked her advices. We appreciated that the appartment was cleaned once during our stay. We will come back. Doris and Klaus

Relaxing Tuscan Retreat

This VRBO is so beautiful! The property is very well maintained and borders grape vines, making it the perfect Tuscan retreat! You feel secluded but are also very close to the town which is lovely, as well as being in a good location for exploring other areas of Tuscany. There is a BBQ and we cooked many meals while we were there as the kitchen had all the necessities. We had the pool to ourselves and the property was very quiet. It was a magical experience! Linda was very kind and I enjoyed hearing about her life and recommendations. The only cons were that there were quite a few ants in our apartment, we had an issue one night with AC and wifi, and the road is a little rough. But I think these are all typical things of the area as it is a rustic place, (which is part of its appeal)! The neighbouring property is under construction which I never heard but made for a bit less of a picturesque view. if I were to come back I would probably ask to stay in a ground floor unit. But our unit was very cute and I appreciated all of the thoughtful decor. Overall a fantastic stay!

Bof!

Belle piscine, logement convenable, hôte pas très agréable. Mon mari a eu besoin de travailler à deux reprises et n'a pas pu à cause de la wi-fi qui ne fonctionnait pas. La tv ne fonctionnait pas non plus à priori depuis 5/22. Mais le pire et cela n'est pas mentionné dans l'annonce, c'est qu'il faut repartir avec ses poubelles et se débrouiller avec. Les propriétaires possèdent une carte qui leur donne accès à une poubelle commune par quartier sans doute. Ce service est payant en fonction des poubelles qu'on y dépose. Nous avons donc supposé que le dépôt de nos poubelles n'était pas inclus dans le montant de la prestation ce que nous avons trouvé pingre et pas très élégant! Par ailleurs, le chemin d'accès à la maison est en terre parsemé de cailloux. la remontée vers Castellina n'est pas forcément aisée sans un 4*4!

Wunderschönes, stilvolles Haus im Chiantigebiet

Das Apartamento Lavanda ist geräumig, sehr stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet mit einer gut ausgestatteten Küche und hat eine eigene, von den anderen Bereichen weit entfernt liegende Terasse. Der sehr große Pool mit toller Aussicht liegt 3 min entfernt. Das Haus insgesamt ist wunderschön und liegt in typischer Toskanaumgebung neben Weinstöcken. Linda hat uns sehr nett willkommen geheißen und gleich köstliche Tomaten aus ihrem Garten geschenkt. Zum Dorf Castellina kommt man in 20 min zu Fuß, dort kann man einkaufen, gut essen und flanieren. Der letzte Teil zum Haus ist per Auto wegen der ungeteerten Straße etwas beschwerlich. Wir hatten insgesamt eine tolle, erholsame Zeit in der Villa Godenano di Mezzo und empfehlen sie dringend weiter!

Lieu très joli, intime, tranquille. La propriétaire nous a bien accueillit. La vue est magistrale!

Communication simple et bel accueil , photo très représentatives. Lieu propre et intime, piscine ultra propre avec vue magnifique sur la vallée. Entouré de nature, plusieurs beaux villages à distance raisonnable. La municipalité est aussi très attrayante et typique. Bon vin, bon restos! La propriétaire est à l’affût de nos besoins.

Absolutely brilliant!! Do yourself a favour!

We were very lucky to spend a week at this beautiful ancient farm house. Our host, Linda is a lovely and engaging lady full of information and tips on what to see and do. We chose the Rosmarino apartment and fell in love with it and the fantastic Tuscan landscape and sunsets just outside our front door. Castellina is a great central location for visiting all the splendour of Chianti and we drove to many wonderful old towns and forts. It's also very close to and easy to get buses to Siena and Florence. Best of all was coming home to Godenano Di Mezzo after a big day out to relax with a chianti and decide whether to home cook or try a local ristorante recommended by Linda. Everything about the accommodation and Linda' friendly help was top class and we were sorry to leave. Do yourself a favour and try it next time you want a special vacation. Absolute Perfection

My wife and I had been through Castellina in Chianti in 2002, and promised ourselves if we returned to Italy, we would make this beautiful town the home base for our vacation. All the reviews looked good for Godenano Di Mezzo, and our stay there far exceeded any expectations we may have had. We stayed in the Lavenda Suite, and it was absolute perfection. All the upgrades done by the Gelli family were done with care and patience, and you can tell they love this place as much as you will love staying here. All the rooms were immaculate, the beds was perfect and even the mattress in the pull-out sofa was extraordinary (as our 10-year-old son will attest). All the amenities you want are top notch, from linens to pillows to water pressure. It's perfectly private and quiet, and you genuinely feel like could just stay here all day to enjoy the views and surroundings. We were also very easily able to make easy day-trips to Sienna, San Gimignano, Florence, Monteroggini and even to Pisa, only to return home tired, but easily relaxed in our surroundings. Linda was wonderful, helping us find our way, recommending restaurants, bringing us fresh vegetables from her garden, and even getting our son to join her feeding her dog Otto or tending to her garden. And of course her cat Leone would sit outside our villa to greet us each day. She has other villas of larger size, and we simply cannot urge you enough to ensure this is where you stay when you come to Italy. You will have access to all the beauty that Italy provides, with all the nesting warmth you want in your very own home. We will be back, Linda. Sooner than perhaps we all thought.

Idéalement placé dans le coeur du Chianti, Godenano di Mezzo offre une prestation de trés bonne qualité avec une vue extraordinaire sur le val d'Elsa.L'accueil des propriétaires est trés sympatique.L'appartement Lavanda offre tout le nécessaire pour passer un agréable séjour. Enfin, la piscine de bonne taille permet de se relaxer en toute sérénité. A conseiller.

We spend a wonderful time...

We spend a wonderful time in this charming place very well located to visit Toscany. The host familly was very friendly and helpful. The appartment has been recently renoved in the ancient style, very comfortable and clean, with all commodities. From the flat, we had a beautiful view on the landscape covered of olive trees and vineyards. The garden is beautiful and we had our own terrace. We highly recommand this place and will come again !
