Godenano di Mezzo is an ancient farm located in the heart of the Castellina in Chianti countryside, in the cradle of the Sienese Chianti Classico, one of the most beautiful areas of the splendid Tuscan countryside.
Godenano di Mezzo is only a 10/15 minute walk from the historic center of Castellina in Chianti, where you can find everything you need to make your holiday complete, shops, supermarkets, bars, pizzerias, restaurants and wine bars.
Our swimming pool is ideal for relaxing, positioned to the south-west, it enjoys a splendid view of the surrounding hills and the entire Val D'Elsa.
Furthermore, a short distance from Godenano di Mezzo there are some of the most renowned and internationally renowned wineries in the area, with the possibility of tasting their exclusive products.
The entire surrounding area is suitable for an incredible food and wine holiday, with a thousand flavors and full of delicacies typical of our tradition that has made us famous throughout the world, you will spend entire days tasting the flavors of Tuscany. In conclusion, ideal geographical context. All apartments have access to the panoramic outdoor swimming pool equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and umbrellas/canopy. Furthermore, there is a barbecue in the common area and free parking available to guests.
The ground floor apartments can accommodate 2 to 4 people and have a kitchen, living room, sofa bed, private outdoor area, double bedroom, storage area, bathroom with shower, linen and wifi.
The apartment on the first floor which can accommodate 4 to 6 people and has a kitchen, living room, sofa bed, private outdoor area, 2 double bedrooms, storage area, 2 bathrooms with shower, linen, air conditioning, parking and wifi. Each apartment has the possibility of adding up to 2 beds on a comfortable sofa bed at an additional cost of €80 per night.
The additional cost for final cleaning is €50.
Prices are calculated per night for two people. The tourist tax of €2 per night per person for a maximum of 7 nights is to be paid in cash at the property.

Great Agriturismo in the heart of Tuscany. Linda, the host, was very helpful and kind! Large and quiet swimming pool which is perfect to relax and unwind. Very close to the village Castellina in Chianti, and just a short drive away from most larger places in Tuscany.

Nice property in the Tuscan countryside

Our stay was wonderful aside from a few manageable challenges. Our apartment was lovely, clean, and spacious, with a nice bedroom, living area, bathroom, and outdoor sitting area / view. The view, however, was 80% blocked by a long green construction fence because of recent storm damage, while the view from the pool was stunning as advertised. The location was central to Tuscany, convenient with easy access by car to many beautiful Tuscan destinations, with the local town wonderful as advertised. Owner communications with specific directions to the property were delayed, causing confusion upon arrival which unfortunately was at night, and given the rough nature of the property access road, resulted in minor damage to our rental vehicle, but once we knew which driveway to enter, all was well. The kitchen was functional and supported all our mealtime needs. Guests just need to come well stocked with any coffee and food condiments required. Navigating Florence or any of the local towns, was a challenge for two specific reasons. "Low Emissions Zones", if violated, result in traffic-camera based tickets, and it's not clear how to keep from violating these zones.. A constant issue. Parking was also a challenge, but garages in Florence were available albeit a bit pricy. Parking near mountaintop towns were hit and miss...some had well marked lots, some not. All in all, a very nice property, wonderful host, and a lovely stay with a few manageable challenges.

A wonderful time in Castellina

My husband and I had a fantastic two weeks here. Linda is a lovely lady and wonderful host. The apartment was pefect a d very relaxing. The pool was perfect and the views breathtaking. We hope to return to this beautiful place.

Beautiful location in Castellina in Chianti

We stayed for one week in September. The accommodations were great. Had everything we needed in our apt. Had lovely grape vines that hung over our sitting area right outside our door. It had a beautiful pool overlooking the region. (A tad chilly for me - I would have liked it a little warmer but my spouse found it fine.) The village of Castellina is quaint and has everything you need. I went to a wine store (can’t remember the name) but you could buy a wine card for $10 euro and got to try 8 different fabulous wines. Best bargain anywhere. Of course I ended up buying a lovely bottle from there. I even got to see his wine cellar which was lovely. Did day trips from our base here to Montepulciano, Pisa, Sienna. We bought food at the local Co-op so had a lot of meals at our place but did eat a couple meals out locally and the food is fabulous. Lovely relaxing holiday.

Wat een ervaring. Dit sfeervolle paradijs ligt op een rustige locatie op slechts 10 minuten lopen van het stadje. We werden keurig ontvangen door Linda. Het appartement was schoon en goed onderhouden evenals de omliggende tuin en het zwembad. De omgeving biedt veel mogelijkheden voor dagtrips, wandel- of fietstochten. In het stadje zijn goede restaurants en het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Voor ons een top vakantie en wij zullen dus zeker nog eens teruggaan.

Beautiful Home in Great Location

We couldn't believe how beautiful this property and home was when we pulled in - the pictures don't do it justice! The location is also amazing for visiting neighboring areas for day or half day trips. We only stayed for 2 nights, but wished we had more time to enjoy the pool and grounds. Would definitely come back to stay here!

A home from home in beautiful Tuscany

Linda was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble for her. The accommodation was very spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Gardens were very spacious, well kept and a peaceful place to sit and relax in total privacy. Nice restaurants and a gelateria in the town which is within walking distance. A wonderful location in the heart of the Chianti region. Lovely village within walking distance with many restaurants to choose from. Easy drive to other villages and towns. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised how wonderful this place was. Linda from day one was very friendly and accommodating to us. Gave wonderful recommendations to all the great food in the area. The location was just right amount of space for privacy, yet close enough to still walk to. It’s a bit of a climb but totally worth it if you want to burn off those gelato calories lol. We definitely want to come back again! We already miss it ~

Belle villa bien située dans le Chianti

La villa est très bien située et tout était propre et conforme aux photos. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. L’accueil a été un peu particulier car la personne qui nous a accueilli était malade et avait de la difficulté à se déplacer et à parler. Cela n’est pas très rassurant. Nous ne l’avons pas revu du séjour. Sinon, la maison comme tel et le terrain valent le détour. Vous avez besoin d’une bonne voiture avec bons pneus pour descendre et monter la côte où se trouve la maison.

Perfect

We were looking for a laid back break in the middle of our 2 week trip to Italy, this was it ! Old farmhouse 1 mile from the closest town...again, perfect. Town had everything you would need. Restaurants, wine bars, shopping, grocery store...all charming. Old farmhouse with modern amenities including great pool. Fresh grapes, peaches, tomatoes and olives right outside our door. Linda was a great host, all was good. Will definitely return !

Our surrounding countryside is the ideal place to enjoy nature in peace and quiet, relax, walk or trek the ancient Via Romea which crosses our property. Here you can admire the beautiful scenery over the Val d’elsa and see in the distance the towers of San Gimignano and the surrounding hills of Monteriggioni, Colle Val d’elsa and Casole d’elsa. Florence is 45 minutes by car and Siena 25 minutes. There is much to do and see in this area and the property is ideally situated to explore Chianti and beyond. A 15 minute walk takes you into the town of Castellina where you will find shops and galleries, many very good restaurants, pizzerias and cafès, a supermarket, winecellars and excellent icecream. The town itself is lovely to explore and there are many organised events which we will let you know about in advance. The area has many very good wineries to visit and partake in winetasting and we can organise winetours with pick up and drop off here on the property. These tours take in 2 or more wineries and include lunch or dinner for a very good price.

The result of this work is a harmonious and comfortable enviroment which provides three apartments selectly decorated with traditional rural tuscan furnishings. The restoration that has been done is in bio edilizia or ecologically restored using only ecological materials so that the house and apartments breathe. The setting is such that there are stunning views over the surrounding valleys and Tuscan countryside. While we are close to the town center we are also a very quiet and tranquill
spot where one can relax and enjoy the Tuscan surroundings.
