Lovely little cottage, very authentic, wonderfully warm and generous hospitality
We stayed in Pepi's House for two weeks. The house was furnished in a typically traditional Greek fashion, not at all like the usual holiday villa furniture, with many interesting family photos. The kitchen was compact, but with a large fridge/freezer, and was equipped perfectly adequately for our needs - there were just the two of us.
There was wifi Internet access, (with the most secure password I've ever encountered), didn't measure the speed, but it did allow us to have a Skype video-call to our grandchildren. Reliable too, stayed connected, no dropouts.
The terrace is a real sun-trap. Totally private, not overlooked, or disturbed at all, with wonderful views across the Ionian Sea to the Greek mainland.
The lovely village of Loggos with its many good restaurants is just a gentle stroll down the hill, although the walk back was a bit more of a challenge, especially after a good meal! Of course, we could have just taken a taxi, there were plenty of them, but we enjoy our walks.
What really made the difference was the amazing hospitality of the owners. Pepi lives in another property on the site but never intruded on our privacy. However, whenever we passed her cottage, she would greet us with the offer of coffee and a chat with her and her friends. Michalis and Tamara were also extremely kind and helpful, even meeting us at the ferry terminal and leading us back to Pepi's House.
All in all, a very enjoyable and memorable holiday.
